Ghost Rider dominated this week.

http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/ques...p?startpage=16

If I'm reading the index right, GR beat PE HD DVD by 4 to 1 and Breach by 5 to 1. Looking at those numbers it's extremely clear that the amazon rankings for PE HD DVD are way off from reality.

Interestingly enough, HD DVD had the #2 and #3 positions this week in the top ten but those were the only spots. BR had 8 of the top 10 sellers and that was before the BB announcment.

I was thinking the same thing, next weeks should be telling. If HD-DVD sales drop in huge numbers due to the annoncement I think we can say that the war is offically over. If the HD-DVD fans see this as the end and quit buying disk for fear of a obsolete format, no amount of marketing or cheap players can save them.

I hope GR was a huge seller because that's a big drop to other BDs as well.

Is it just me, or when I see that Ghost Rider did as well as it did that the %s feel like they should be higher?

I don't either. It is probably one of the last Blu-rays I'd ever get. Ah, well, I guess we all have different tastes.

If you factor in the Warner and Paramount titles which always sell more on Blu-ray than HD DVD, it will be a slaughtering. Thanks for the link.

I actually really like PE, I just cant bring myself to spend 70 bucks on it...I dont like it that much. The only reason I can figure it does so well on HD-DVD is because almost all of the HD-DVD movies SUCK and they have nothing better to buy

And I'm thinking Knocked Up isn't going to be a must have in terms of getting HD visuals - especially compared to the competitions offerings.

Yikes. Which I guess leaves us with..
