Remember next week the numbers will be for this week, not the week Transformers comes out. This week we're on now, Blu-Ray's releases were MUCH stronger then HD DVD's. Even more so then last week.

next week will still see blu-ray winning. the next two weeks, when transformer is up will be horrible.

TOP GUN if it was released on BLU-RAY ,i'm sure we evacuate and delete HD-DVD from Future

hd dvd version of 300 barely beat out blu's troy by .18. If warner sees that they can't be encouraged by hd dvd's staying power.

If Blu-ray manages anything over 51 between mid-October and the end of the month, HD-DVD is going to be morally decimated.

Transformers really is their only bright ray of hope.

I don't know, with Best Buy's 2 for 1 it could be interesting. Especially with it coming out this week how much more they sell than everyone else. If someone could talk the PS3 Nation into buying a movie next week, who knows what could happen.

If Blu wins Oct 16 even 51:49 I will laugh my ass off so hard...

And people are forgetting yes i know its is going to sound extremly stupid but there's 3 movies coming on Blu-ray

Reaping, Hoax and Invisible so.... it might offset it even a bit and like few posters above me said fox coming back into the game might have some overspill to that week as well...

I'm a little disappointed in 68:32 - I was really hoping to be up above 70.

Next week.

HD-DVD only has 16th as slight possibility of anything. 23rd Meet the Robinsons and Hostel and Captiivity and Mr Brooks all just exclusive Blu movies and 30th is this small series of movies called Spiderman. But Spiderman isn't an issue no one wants that.

Im going in and buying at least 10 movies, some of movies i already own and will give as gifts to people who have ps3s. This + the Disney buy 1 get 1 free for 29.99 at best buy, we all need to go out and really drop some cash on tuesday!

Well, I kinda point to The Day After Tomorrow not even making the top 10. . . Distribution problems, perhaps? Mine didn't ship from Amazon till the next week and won't show up till the 19th numbers. Next week should be very solid considering what released Blu:Red.

Sweet number! Updating original post...

Even though I wish the numbers were above 70% this is good, especially considering that everyone here and elsewhere are saving up to buy the crap out of Blu-ray's the week of the Transformer's release,...right guys?

Agreed with you there.

Some good things to take - Halloween and Dracula cracking the top 10 HDM.

I have 5 in queue on an amazon wish list and plan to pick a few strays up for me and friends using the 2 for 1 pricing deals next week. I'm doing my part to be a citizen! Want to learn more? Click here.

Remember this: Tuesday + 10 (days)

Next week we will get the results from this week's sales. If you're refering to Transformers, the results will be released on Oct 26.

Gary

P.S. Unless you're figuring Evan Almighty is going to beat 28 Weeks Later, Edward Scissorhands, Reign Over Me, and Surf's Up
