Congrats guys. This was the last week that Blu-ray could lose this year. It's all plain sailing to the end of the year now. Expect to see Blu-ray back into the 60's or maybe even touch the 70's next week.

Wait a sec... the Since Inception went backwards! It now shows 60/40 while before it was 61/39 wasn't it?
That makes no sense since we have always been in the lead...

My prediction is that at year-end the YTD will stand at 67/33 and the SI 62/38. It may not seem like much but it takes quite a whipping to move the dial at this point... luckily holiday volumes should be high.

Excellent news, my prediction wasn't far off, it will be more and more lopsided in Blu-ray's favor as the weeks move on.

Darkblueme, quick trigger finger, you had that posted just seconds before me!

Read the posts before yours. Any win with a ratio below the SI or YTD will erode (lower) the SI/YTD. Doesn't matter that you win.

The Heroes Box-set is ranked #2.

Problem with that is that they were all given away free with xbox 360 add-ons at Best Buy.

The other good news is that this week pretty much secures a sweep of 2007 for Blu-ray.

Warner has basically said that if the HD DVD fire sales can't make HD DVD take the lead they are going Blu.

Hopefully Warner will end the format war with an announcement at CES 2008.

Anything below the SI and YTD will lover them.
I wouldn’t consider it a bad week but I wouldn’t consider it a good week either.

Our numbers should be higher considering all of the PS3's out there. Most people were forecasting a constant 70%-90% in Blu’s favor by this point in the year. It just goes to show that the shady HD-DVD tactics are making a dent in the market. I just hope that Blu-ray can maintain the lead after all of those free HD-DVD players are given out on Black Friday.

This was the Disney week right?

I must admit that I was worried about this week "surprising" us. It is downhill for HD DVD from now on

That should have locked up the whole year.
Wonder how the other side is trying to spin this as a hd dvd win.

Good news. The only weak part is that 2001 on HD-DVD outsold 2001 on Blu-ray. With so many great titles coming out over the next few weeks, it will be important for Blu-ray sales of Warner titles to outsell HD DVD. Warner will be watching sales of their own titles, not those of Fox or Disney.

Great relief, especially by looking on that top 10 result. TF week 2 was the toughest defense battle. Now the rest of the holiday season it is getting pretty cold for red.

Besides. I did my part to cure this little iching thing below and ordered 2001.

Wait, if the bundle Heroes counts (only way a season set would climb that high) ... will the PS3 bundle with Spiderman 3 count too (that would only makes sense)?...

If that is the case... We are going to see astronomical numbers for Spiderman...
