Assuming SPE is mindfull of the paramount transformer's debacle, and their CR claim was a bit of a problem, they have to be using a number that matches HMM's tomorrow's announcement.

In this case, 130k was what I predicted on AVS btw.

Man I'm starting to think I can I can read tea leaves with the best of them.

130k out of 400k shipped is pretty low. No wonder it didn't seem to sell out anywhere. I think it will sell fairly well over the rest of the year, as people make up their mind which one (box or single) to buy.

Wicky says the numbers do not include the box set. Wicky's word is bond.

I have a feeling though that Ratatouille is going to surpass it.

Should definitely be interesting.
I didn't expect an animation title to do so well. Ratatouille might just break that mould of HDM animation titles selling < 1% of the DVD.

considering what transformers' 110k did to the ratio two weeks ago, i'm now absolutely dying to see how badly SM3 and the SM boxset annihilate the ratio this week... and then next week we'll see what pixar does to it.

i predict much rueing of the day and gnashing of teeth among the red ants.

well, more realistically i predict that they'll cram their heads deeper into the sand and spread some more FUD.

They'll say that people bought 100K+ HD DVD movies at Wal-Mart so they actually won the week.

If this doesn't include the boxset that should put total sales close to 200k, and also shows what a large market BD has, considering the relative lack of hype over Spiderman compared to Transformers.

I'm looking forward to see what the Rat achieves.

I agree, and I think Ratatouille is gonna have even higher sales. Blu-ray should take a huge lead these next couple weeks or so and early December is gonna be big for Blu as well.

^^ Not only 80:20 for the week - but the sheer number of units sold will also move the YTD and SI numbers...

All is right with the world again...

Have to factor in some effect from the sale at Best Buy for HD DVD... I'll say 68:32. And also say it reverses last week's YTD decline.

But . . . but . . . what about that blockbuster "Chuck & Larry?"
Surely that can beat Spiderman and Ratatouille.
