Shrek doesn't seem like it will be a huge seller. I just went to blockbuster and they had plenty in stock, while Ratatouille was empty.

Sony & backers know that they'll win this war with better & biggest selection of titles instead
that artificially devaluate the player prices "just to catch some buyers". Toshi played with fire and
really get hurt, because after all that hyper sales, what they got???? nothing!!!, nada!!!. The format
position is worse. Maybe for the buyer "is cool that toshiba make an effort to lower the prices", but
inside the industry, specifically the player makers, i think they're not very happy. After all, what's
the incentive to make a hd-dvd player now, because all of them will face the sad reality, at this time
there's no a way to cut prices so drastically, unless you wanna suicide.

On the blu side, i hope, sony and others don't feel so pushed to low the prices just to sell more, at
least not so drastically. I prefer more software that make the hardware sales, and not a cheap price.
Of course i'm thinking on a long lasting format survival. when the format madurates is obvious that the
player prices will fall, along with a lot of Blu-ray release from all studios.

Always the software sells the hardware, always. and at this time, the blu software is by far more
irresistible for me than the losing format. Uni & paramouth have very good titles, but, where's fox &
disney is where my money goes.

The Rat
Cars
Die Hard
pirates
..........my god!!!

and not forgetting Close encounters, my favorite movie ever, this month my credit card will sweat!

And my numbers for tomorrow:

I really wanna a 99-1, but i'll get realistic, and maybe will be 98-2

My prediction for last week is 83:17

I hope BD will stay with a 4:1 ratio till the end of the year, wouldn't that be great?

Competition time again? Hmm, I was way off last week, so this time I'm going to go for WE: 78-22, same as the poster above.

Kosty seems to have become a psychopath on avs, he keeps posting his opinion and replying to himself when everyone just ignores him. I know he is paid to do these things by his employer, but give it a rest.

81:19 from me. Its time for the hammer to come down.

Are you looking for numbers or percentages? If you want numbers, I've made up a lot in the past (some close, some not so), so go search for my posts in this thread.

As for percentages, it's something like

50:50 HD-DVD very big new release vs. nothing on Blu-ray except BOGO (OK, that's the Transformers week)
55:45 HD-DVD some new releases
60:40 nothing on both sides
65:35 Blu-ray some new releases
70:30 Blu-ray big new release
80:20 Blu-ray multiple big new releases (<- this is what I'm hoping for this week )

enjoy
