SingingTheBlues - that is a pretty heavy red list indeed, and it contains some movies I would like to own (but I guess I won't)

I don't think Indiana would be both or none - It should be considered a spielberg movie, and I don't see him putting it on red. If it does go both, I at least think spielberg would demand an actual blue encoded release and we may have some good comparison stuff.

As an addition, Fox is releasing Wolverine next year. Hopefully we'll see X-men 1 and 2 at that time as well.

Guys this list is ONLY for new-release movies. NOT catalog titles.

As we have learned, the new releases are what usually do the big numbers in HD disc sales.

Oookie, which of those titles are new release only? I'll update my list. Some of those you listed are not new release movies.

Its 65:35 in the USA but overall it must be in the high 70's worldwide. You guys are not seeing the big picture.

If the BDA have stomacks like half of you guys they would have given up ages ago. Its time to knuckle down and buy those BDs.

New Line is neutral, but they may as well be Blu since all their new releases will have a 4-6 month lag to HD DVD. The way home video works they may as well not come out at all

Vantage Point (Sony)

Waiting on Aliens movies and Disney classics to push catalog sales to the forefront.

Not sure how well it will do, but you are missing Disney's Enchanted.

Anyway, I share your conclusion that there's no obvious advantage on one side or another based on this lineup.

These are Warner Bros Internationally. So you may get them on Region A via Hongkong, Korea and Japan.

I see a lot of big talk on here, but not enough BD owners are buying Blu-Ray movies, especially PS3 owners. It appears to me that Standalone owners buy more BD's heck I have over 200

I will never go neutral. There is not enough DUD HD movies worth buying and if I really love a Uni or Para***** I'd buy in SD. Besides I don't have shelf space for another player. and I can barely keep up with BD's. I have a ton of BD's to watch.

Rat on DVD did so bad that WM was allowed to return all overstock discs 3 days after the movie came out... normally we have to wait 2 weeks to send back overstock new releases.

Hey, after about 3 months of owning a PS3 and much wallet emptyness I'd say i'm not doing too bad, 26 titles in my library with 5 more on the way. 2 of which are box sets of movies and 1 season. Just a bit late to the party is all .
