IMHO
While it is sad to go below 80% I don't read to much into this. For Blu-Ray buyers (eg us), there is no rush, we can just buy when our finances allow, when the films we want arrive, because we know the content will still be there in 6 months, 1 year, 2 years etc. It is only going to get better. (Just look at Warner's upcoming releases) For those who won't be named (eg them), there is urgency in stocking up because many of them know their supply will soon be cut off, even if they won't admit it. Maybe panic buying is too strong a term, but it is close. There are also probably some buyers who don't realise they have got on the train that won't leave the station Personally I predict that February will be turbulent with the numbers, with some more peculiar results, before Blu-Ray starts to power away in March. |
