yep.

We have countless more millions of standalone and PS3 Blu-ray players out there. We should be at least in the 80's.

If that's the lowest BD goes from here on out you'll hear ne'er a word of complaint from me.

Although I am disappointed with the numbers, we are still doing much better than last year.
I think it is still a sign that HD DVD is treading water and is not going to last much longer. Perhaps we should think about a Buy-a-thon in a few months, perhaps on the day WB drops HD DVD.

I'm disappointed and amazed in a bad way that we're seeing anything lower than 80/20, but again, if this is the lowest I see, you won't hear any complaining from me.

remember this was the week of the bogo at best buy and almost every title on the list was a must own. the fact that blu-ray still won by this much is wonderful. if best buy would have a bogo in favor of blu-ray i bet you would see numbers in the low 90's. wish we could get a bogo to have a week of those numbers.

A small downer but i think we are just too used to seeing numbers in the 80s.

Didn’t the Bogo only account for one day of that week?

considering the war is supposed to be over and all of these player returns for HD DVD really make that 25 seem like a lot....we should be approaching 90, not 70...

having said all that...I think 75 is still a great number as we'll be seeing a strong upswing again after their BOGO...I still think we should be able to touch 80 or maybe 79 at worst in this stage of the post-war...

because it is over...and has been...also, we need to start competing with DVD releases in 2009 and not just building steam after HD DVD is taken off the shelves in all stores...

HD DVD needs to be wiped out in that respect before Q4

Remember that Amazon has an HD DVD sale right now too. As well as many other companies. SO we night not see numbers in the 80s for a few weeks until their stock is depleted. But rest assured, the numbers will rise again when they start stocking up on more BD titles.

And that whole article about VMD?? The guys said Blu-ray is inferior?!?! WTF!? Does he even look at this own specs on that thing? It only handles 4 layers of 5 GB. Thats NOTHING close to Blu-ray. And it has less bandwidth. And no support. And no retailers. Why even report on a product that was inferior to begin with, and joining the war WAY WAY WAY to late?

HD-VMD? There is no way that it’s superior to Blu-ray.

I thought I read somewhere that it was superior to the DUD though.

Why should anyone here be disappointed with this?:

This is sales ratio rolling average and not sales.

85 is equal distance from 70 and 90.

It's easy for the numbers to drop. Very very hard for them to rise.

Anyone who calls this a disappointment doesn't get consumerism, nor math.

oh it's clear as day..

it's the fact that they are shrinking and we are growing...yet we can't maintain progress..

that's math...

and nobody said it was a disappointment, so you can sit down now..
