Lockdown in the U.K. for three weeks (for now) with immediate effect. Only allowed to go outside to buy necessities (food & medicine), to go to work if essential, or to exercise.

As someone that served in all three components of the Army, you know that the Guard can be activated, paid by the Feds but still be controlled by the Governor.

School . . . . it was great until I hit high school. Went to three different high schools, so for three years, I was the new kid.

From kindergarten to 10th grade it was me and my two best friends; Fred Thaler and Ben Cohen. Yep - THAT Ben Cohen . . . Ben & Jerry's.

Going to Walmart tomorrow at 6 AM for the "Geezer Hour." Really want to buy some meats.

I didn't mind school at all. Growing up would have been extremely dull otherwise.

I hope they can reopen the schools here next month, but it sure doesn't look that way.

I liked school... sometimes. Loved infant and junior school. Moved and had to go to a different high school than everyone I went to the previous schools with so didn't know anyone etc. First 3 years kinda lame. Next two were pretty awesome though.... unfortunately then moved again (to Aussieland). Doing a final year in a foreign school in a foreign country with foreign people... such fun.

I enjoyed school as well. Never had to many issues. Then again I didn't let people bully me either so that helped.

FWIW I always hated high school also, it was only in 2013-2014 that I actually began to like school and now I am in the senior year of my first bachelor's.

I got bullied but I also fought back against idiots. Probably why I got suspended so much in middle and high school. My father was always bemused but I had a point. You harass people to a certain point or put your hands on someone, you're not always going to get pleasant results.

I got bullied occasionally from 5th grade to the start of 7th. When someone picked the wrong day to pick a fight with me, we went outside the school for a little fight where a bunch of kids watched. I think it was a draw, don't remember. But I do remember, when I was suspended and sent home for 3 days, my dad being proud that I didn't back down. After that nobody bullied me again.

I hated it. I got bullied like crazy. And there was nothing I could do about it because if I stood up for myself, I'd get into a fight. And when the principal sees the fight, it's going to be a he said, she said thing. So we'd both get suspended which would be very bad for my record. I almost got into a fight in my Freshman year for standing up for myself and almost got suspended. When my parents thought I got suspended, they FREAKED OUT! Luckily, the teacher had a change of heart the next day and decided not to have me suspended.

Ever since then, I had to just take the bullying.

I'd rather be suspended and kick someone's butt than just get bullied. I can always make up the work off-campus and it's not like people today are asking me about whether I got in fights in high school. Nobody cares.

Happily, there was no bullying at my high school. There were some *******s for sure, but even they ended up polite and friendly years later.

I guess I got lucky.
