Well for everyone's sake, let's hope the summer weather will help some. In humid air the viral particles from breathing, talking, coughing or sneezing don't travel as far before falling to the ground, because they are heavier and the air thicker. And the higher the temperature, the more water vapor it can hold.
Also as mentioned the sun rays being stronger and longer hours of sunlight means more UV rays to kill viruses left on surfaces, especially when it's hot. How much difference will it make? Who knows, but I can't see why it wouldn't help if one looks at it from a physics standpoint. If a cough from someone falls to the ground from 4 feet away in humid air, vs. 6 feet away in dry air, and you're standing 5 feet away, it could make the difference between you getting it or not from that person. |

Me too. Chronic for 15 years. Nothing helps other than staying inside. And, even then, the anxiety will cause too many issues.

Covid 19 projections have improved, with fewer deaths projected by August (60,000 vs 82,000 before).
Also the IHME believes new cases have already peaked, based on a 5 day moving average. And that we'll see a peak in daily deaths by Sunday. So maybe a flicker of light at the end of the tunnel? ![]() https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/08/healt...day/index.html |

Thankfully, with fewer vehicles on the road, this a less risky undertaking than it would be under normal circumstances. |

"A Man Wrecked His $750,000 Gemballa Mirage GT After Speeding Recklessly Through Manhattan"
https://www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/man-...180502369.html "Chen was arrested shortly after smashing the $750,000 Gemballa into the back of a parked minivan on Eleventh Avenue in East Midtown around 7:30 a.m. Though video shows that the car sustained major damage, that didn’t stop Chen, who continued south on Eleventh, crashing into even more parked cars before finally being pulled over by police near the intersection West 44th Street." |

No it doesn’t, it says nowhere he is living life as he did before that, he’s just not giving into the fear, doesn’t mean he isn’t taking precautions, you’re just assuming that because he is not running around scared shitless live so many are. I agree with him, I work very early now, go home, take my daughter out for a walk daily, take a jog daily, and on weekends get food from the store. I’m not petrified of this but I’m also being smart and taking precautions. Only time my 1 year old leaves the house is when we go to track or neighborhood for a walk.

What worries me is if they allow asymptomatic people to return to work without proper testing, everything we have done so far could be for nothing and we end up right back where we started again. The only proper way to do this is with tons of testing. We've still only tested a tiny part of the population so far. We can't allow people to start going back to work and living a semi-normal life until we are able to do more testing. We have 15-minute tests now. But there aren't nearly enough to go around. Until there is, we have to be very careful. Just saying, "well, you don't have a fever, and you aren't showing symptoms, so go ahead and go back to work" will be a disaster. We know you can spread it with zero symptoms. And with spring allergies right around the corner (I suffer big time with spring allergies), it will be hard to tell who's sick and who's just got allergies. We need to be able to test people. And people could be virus-free today and pick it up tomorrow, so we need frequent testing. |

Coronavirus and shopping for supplies: Getting to the bottom of the toilet paper shortage "That’s part of the problem right now – not just hoarding and not because people are going to the bathroom more than normal. It’s also because so many consumers are going to bathroom in different locations from before the pandemic – at home instead of workplaces, which often use a different kind of toilet paper than used at home." "One kind of bath tissue – for the commercial market – often is made of one ply of recycled fiber and generally is found on rollers at businesses and public places. The other kind – retail toilet paper – is often made of two-ply virgin fiber and is generally much softer for use at home. This location shift prompted by shelter-at-home rules would lead to an estimated 40% increase over the average daily home usage, according to Georgia-Pacific, which makes Quilted Northern toilet paper and other paper products." |
