I think it was somebody else. It was a sister in law that had been taken off the ventilator and was improving.

This is starting to get ridiculous. I know we're learning as we go here, but how are we supposed to know waht to do when they keep changing what they're telling us?

My sister-in-law seems to be improving slightly as the sedation and vent settings have been dialed back a bit. No evidence of cytokine storm.

As to potential new therapies, here locally, in my neck of the woods at St. Joe’s Hospital in thee O.C., we had a man who recovered from COVID-19 donate his blood on Wednesday for use as convalescent plasma. Fingers crossed as to his antibodies helping out another patient in critical condition in the ICU. I think this is the first time this has been performed on the West Coast.

It will help with people sneezing and coughing in public, which should help prevent the spread of flu and colds. It will also help remind the wearer to ovoid touching their face.

Lol, not at all. I think we're starting to learn a lot of what we've been originally told is inaccurate and some of it was based on fear. Unfortunately, policies and thus their effect are based off of that information; which is why inaccurate information can be dangerous. It certainly will be interesting to learn where we end up on the other side of that tunnel and whether the numbers really turn out to be much worse than the standard flu.

I had to go to the grocery store briefly today and I tried wearing both a dust mask (like you wear when working in the basement) and also one my girlfriend's dad made, just a basic cloth mask, and both fogged my glasses up the moment I put it on. Could barely see. Plus they were both very loose. Her dad said one of them fogs up his glasses too - he couldn't wear it. The masks don't do any good if you end up touching your face more by fiddling with the masks. I ended up just skipping the mask.

The first point in that article is hilarious. It basically said "People are stupid. They'll think they won't have to wash their hands or make a point to stay away from others if they're wearing a mask. So we don't want them wearing one"
