Already seeing tons of out of state cars. Have you seen the BDN article about out-of-staters who all agreed that precautions are a good idea, but they themselves won't be following them?

But you completely didn't even read my post and what I was trying to say but was clear you are supportive of the protest taking place and no not everyone is wearing mask at those either!

But here you are actually hoping for innocent people not breaking any laws to catch this virus and die. And yes you are right, it is terrible of you! You don't get to play both sides here sorry!
I mean, I did admit it's a terrible thought. I'm not blind to how bad it is.

Here's what you said the other day in the USPS thread and my response:

Forgive me if I'm just tired of hearing the same arguments to the point when it becomes a dog whistle. I tried to avoid being too political so I didn't post about the merits of the legitimate protesters. Instead I just made a quick distinction.

I post too much so I missed your response:

I said if they issue PERMITS FOR A PROTEST with thousand and thousands of people not social distancing at all standing side by side inches apart with maybe at best 50% wearing a mask. But they cant even allow small business to open their doors if they want with all kinds of restrictions in place is fair to you?

And also like i said continuing these protest and placing these city's in danger of possibly needing to be locked down again is only going to make the lives of those protesting worse, not better!

I agree with you. Protesters should keep their distances and follow all safety precautions to set a good example. The anti-lockdown protests had some responsible protesters who did so in cars and these new protesters should do the same.

So here's my apology if I misread your post by inferring malice and then going for cheap points without delving into a more descriptive post. I'll make the same post in the USPS thread.

I'm not surprised, but it doesn't make it any less of a tragedy, and a travesty.

SAO PAULO (Reuters) - Brazil removed from public view months of data on its COVID-19 epidemic on Saturday, as President Jair Bolsonaro defended delays and changes to official record-keeping of the world’s second-largest coronavirus outbreak.

Brazil’s Health Ministry removed the data from a website that had documented the epidemic over time and by state and municipality. The ministry also stopped giving a total count of confirmed cases, which have shot past 672,000 – more than anywhere outside the United States – or a total death toll, which passed Italy this week, nearing 36,000 by Saturday.

“The cumulative data ... does not reflect the moment the country is in,” Bolsonaro said on Twitter, citing a note from the ministry. “Other actions are underway to improve the reporting of cases and confirmation of diagnoses.”

Bolsonaro has played down the dangers of the pandemic, replaced medical experts in the Health Ministry with military officials and argued against state lockdowns to fight the virus, hobbling the country’s public health response.

Neither Bolsonaro nor the ministry gave a reason for erasing most of the data on the covid.saude.gov.br website, which had been a key public resource for tracking the pandemic. The page was taken down on Friday and reloaded Saturday with a new layout and just a fraction of the data, reflecting only deaths, cases and recoveries within the last 24 hours.

Late on Saturday, the ministry reported 27,075 new confirmed infections and 904 related deaths since its Friday update.

The government drew criticism this week for pushing back the release of its daily tally, previously available around 5 p.m. but released in recent days near 10 p.m.

“Transparency of information is a powerful instrument for combating the epidemic,” wrote Paulo Jeronimo de Sousa, head of the Brazilian Press Association, in a note accusing the government of “trying to silence the press at this late hour.”

Asked by journalists on Friday about the delayed release, Bolsonaro needled the nation’s most-watched news program, Jornal Nacional, which begins at 8:30 p.m.

“There goes the story for Jornal Nacional,” he joked, adding that the show “likes to say Brazil has the record for deaths.”
Brazil reported more new cases and deaths from COVID-19 than any other country on four consecutive days this week.

Bolsonaro tweeted on Saturday that a later daily update would “avoid undernotification and inconsistencies.”

Leadership seems to vary from state to state.

Utah (9 of the 13 health jurisdictions experienced a >15% growth in cases over the past week, suggesting a statewide trend - timestamp 2:20), so Dr. Dunn offered some guidance during this press conference -

I went into the video store in the mall. Didn't buy anything. Later, I went to a thrift store and picked up several books and some sewing supplies.

We aren't quite back to normal. Movie theaters are closed...but bowling allleys are open. Schools are partially reopened.

It's getting better every day.
As I said, we need a second wave for people to take it seriously I guess. And it will come, guaranteed.

It's deplorable how some in here are waving this off as a non-issue.

Solid line is the seven day moving average

Seven day moving average of deaths dropped below 1000 for the first time.

Hmm, it's almost like the lockdown and precautions are working. Well then, the obvious thing then is to lift them all and go back to the way it was 100%, like some in here are suggesting we do.

Forgive me if this was asked before, but why exactly are some people wearing their masks on their chin? I've been seeing a lot of that and it puzzles me to no end. I mean, why even bother having a mask at all? It ain't doing no good on your chin!

It’s not their decision to make, we are all vulnerable to CV19. They don’t have that right. If it was just themselves at risk, fair enough.

No individual has the right to put another life in danger, regardless of reasons.

If that were allowed to be the case then the people should have been allowed back to work long before 40M people filed for unemployment.

Talk about thinking in binary, you seem incapable of discussing easing emergency orders and noting facts about hospital capacity (the reason we in Ontario were given for mandates in the first place) without immediately jumping on someone with a barrage of straw man fallacies.

Through 13+ days of massive gatherings across the US, cases yesterday were down 15.4% from the previous Sunday with no signs of hospitals being decimated.

My job did $1.5mil in sales the past five days. Normally it would take us anywhere between two to three weeks to hit those numbers.

I wish i would of foreseen the future and would of for the last 5 years gone around collecting free home gym equipment that for the last decade have had owners trying to give it away free for the most part are now all in high demand.

Public gyms like planet fitness are DOA unless proof comes out that this is all a hoax and truly at this point i wouldn't doubt it from what i have seen not just in our government, but around the world.

But regardless i can only laugh at the people who are now complaining about the sweaters, you know the guys who basically look like they were just hosed down after working out for ten minutes and then leaving their slime all over the equipment . My sister was complaining about it and i can see her side, but i also know some people sweat buckets when they work out and don't see anyways around it for these places. And the planet fitness type places, lol if people think they hire enough or pay enough for their places to be properly cleaned.

That’s silly, of course not. With the magnitude of this pandemic, we can make the argument that things still should be locked down. The government needs to better take care of its citizens who need financial assistance. The brave individuals protesting in close proximity to one another have made the decision that civil rights are worth the risk.
