Anyway, what about the two YouTubes I posted on the previous page from 2 other networks….one being from ABC news and the other MSNBC. Can you view those in your country? |

I had a coworker in another department test positive for the flu. Naturally some were worried and curious about who that person may've been, but seeing as how its only the 3rd case in the last several months that we've had I'm not the least bit worried about it. It's a remarkable feat in some regards when you think of the thousands of interactions that happen in and outside of work that could transmit something, and so to have so few whom all returned to work healthy is something to be grateful of. Of course I can't say the same for other regions, and I don't know enough about the specifics regarding other states to comment.
Wouldn't mind if the news would be a little more specific about their coverage or show some kind of silver lining in all of it. "This many people tested positive, and this many people died", seems to be the start and end of every conversation it seems. |

I can see 99.99% of all videos of this thread and other threads @ blu-ray.com But somehow that CBS video I can't. I have zero clue why. Perhaps if you can tell me the [exact title] I can search for it through other outlets. Stay safe P.S. There are several projections/predictions for the global pandemic including the United States of America. Worldometer has few; this one for the US ... by February 1st, 2021, with three scenarios, depending (best with masks, realistic and worst). • https://covid19.healthdata.org/unite...aths&tab=trend 20201025_063141.jpg Last edited by LordoftheRings; 10-25-2020 at 01:38 PM. |

him: "cases are going up but the good news is deaths are not keeping pace" me: "obviously, first you get sick, then you need hospitalization, then ICU to end with death days or weeks later. death rate will always appear "good" as cases increase to look bad when cases decrease." him: "12 people have died but in good news there are 8 less people in the ICU" me: "you do realize that those deaths freed up those spaces and it means there are at least 4 people in the ICU because of Covid that were not there before." .... I had to stop watching his announcements, they would just infuriate me with his fake "good news" |

"the uploader has not made the video available in your country" Does CBS do that for all their videos (no use for anyone else to add regional restrictions) or just this one (maybe there is some copyrighted material and they only have US rights), I don't know but the reason is CBS does not want to make it available. |

U.S. Sets Coronavirus Case Record Amid New Surge More than 85,000* new cases of the virus were reported across the country on Friday, shattering an earlier single-day record and stirring new fears about the months ahead. Hang it there to your brother Penton. * Those numbers (new cases and mortalities) are never accurate. The numbers are actually higher and it can take 24 hours up to two weeks before they form a broader data picture. UPDATE: Quote:

But if you give me the exact title of that video I can search and find it through an alternate route. * Sometimes some networks want you to download their app, or subscribe monthly for $5.99 to have access. During a pandemic useful info to the public's health should be free, IMHO. ◇ What's the title of that CBS video? ...Word for word. |

Odd you couldn’t view it from the link I posted. Now I’m wondering if people from across the pond are seeing (or not) all these different national news videos or they’re blocked. Were you guys able to see this one recently posted here several pages back from CBS news? – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post18178553 |

That's the same one I found @ about the same time as you, Anthony. But no YouTube video for that one, not on my end anyway. No big deal, we know the score; last Friday was not a rosy day all across the board (globe) for the data (number of new cases and departed). It's cold here today, the coldest day so far this year, freezing cold last night and this morning and still now. And Victoria is like a ghost town, not much traffic and even less people walking on the sidewalks. I wasn't sure if it was safe to park without putting money in the parkometer; someone told me he doubt that I'll get a ticket...I paid anyway to be safer. Walking in the streets is like in a movie, empty and they actually were filming a movie in one of the streets, with Christmas lights. So it has to do with the Christmas holidays. That was spooky, like Halloween before the nightmare. ...Tim Burton? 20201021_100925.jpg 20201021_101017.jpg 20201021_100959.jpg Stay safe * By the way, the few people on the streets, having a coffee here and there, construction workers, film's crew, sitting, walking, ... not even 50% wear a mask. But they keep their distance. And inside shopping places (Victoria), groceries, Best Buy, ... the majority wear masks. Some places it is even mandatory. ...Banks not yet. Some friends flew to Mexico for a 6-month vacation in the sun...cool. ✈ The aviation industry is starving, for money, for lots of money, money from people, money from the rich, money from the poor, money from everyone. One niece is a stewardress, but off work for the last 8 months or so. She is well covered though financially; her company covers her fully 100%...very very good money by the way. CBS is not playing nice here where I live. It's ok though, there are not many Canadians here anyway. We are like living in the country side, the great White North, with the polar bears, the beavers, the moose, the skidoos, the igloos, the Arctic polar cap, the icebergs, the Eskimos and the Rockies. ![]() You guys down South by San Diego and California are from the Heat country, the fire element. We have a fair bunch too during the hot summers, and desert areas...like in the Okanagan Valley. Last edited by LordoftheRings; 10-25-2020 at 05:56 PM. |

In that one downtown marina (across the Empress Hotel) there wasn't any boat worth photographing or I would have share. Summer is better for the big cruising and sailing ships (three masts).
Sundays are always slow days for the virus. The data people are relaxing I guess. |

Snow is in the forecast for tomorrow, in the Eastern part of the Canadian Atlantic. My family in Quebec they are all in the red zones. Quebec City is also like a ghost town (my favorite city back east). ...Hotels, bars, restaurants, gyms ... all closed or very very low clientele. |
