SHITSTORM, my friend. Big SHITSTORM.
My region, Campania, has been declared "Red Zone" and will be totally locked down for the next weeks. From November 15th to December 3d. There are no more money for many citizens. Shops, restaurants and tons of activities are closing FOREVER. There's no economical support for them. This country is ****ed up. How am I copying with it? I would prefer to be at the Knowby Cabin, battling the Kandarian Demon. |

Yup all non-essential businesses now banned from on-site services starting Monday until at least the 30th. Grocery stores such as Alberston's and Wal-Mart must operate at 25% or less and gyms must close.
Yikes, going to be a bad Thanksgiving for a lot of people. |

And with Black Friday coming up they gonna run out of truck drivers. Not very good, with almost 10,000 mortalities worldwide, over 180,000 new cases in the US, with France, UK, Italy, Germany, etc., experiencing hospital overloads in some regions. Not a good day, not a good week. The best news was that vaccine on Monday. * This year we won't see a rush of people @ the stores on Black Friday...Black Friday in person is dead. But online Amazon is doing phenomenally superb. Christmas and New Year's Eve are going to resemble Thanksgiving I think...quiet. Not online, but in line @ the stores and tables with champagne and festivities. These are challenging times, very. First Holiday season under a very nasty virus during a universal pandemic rush. |

I think the number of new cases worldwide (656,000+) for today Friday Nov. 13 is a new record. And the same for the US (183,000+), according to Worldometer.
20201113_202412.jpg And from Johns Hopkins University it was on November 11 (666,100), worldwide. 20201112_151548.jpg |

Right now according to Johns Hopkins 53,517,017 have tested positive 1,305,189 have died. that means 2,439 in every 100,000 has died or 2.439 in every 100. and for every one that dies my understand for everyone that dies there are 10 that have serious complication and need hospitalization. The numbers you make up to come to support your conclusions are no where near based on reality. |

Even though mostly unfounded, I get the fear. But let's be honest, I am sure, like most here, won't be allowed to be first in line to get it when it is available. None of us are test subjects in phase 2 or phase 3 and governments will prioritize certain groups and the ultra wealthy might jump the queue. At some point people need to accept that the fears are unfounded.

there are a lot of idiots out there, but I don't think that is necesserily always the case. I think for a lot of people it is just a strong case of delusion brought up by denial. It is a scary super scary disease if one pays attention so it is easier to pretend it is not true.

I doubt they tried some we'll known brand or something, probably anything random. Just look for 3-layer (or higher) surgical masks with a non-woven polypropylene layer, and it should be good. Of course look at reviews, even if the filtration is okay, things like the earloop, or nose clip could be poorly made.
