I posted this in a couple of other places, but in case anyone only checks this thread or the other, I will put it here too.
I am posting BDInfo scans from both the Kino and MoC releases of Boomerang below. I took a quick look and they appear to be from the same master with the Kino being just a touch brighter.

Im in a huge mood to watch the fantastic film noir The Big Heat. Anyone who hasnt seen it I highly recommend you buy the encore edition from Twilight Time while they last unless its sold out already. Very safe blind buy. Also Where the Sidewalk ends.

If anyone needs to catch up on some WAC Noir, Amazon has them for 3 for $35 as their Deal of the Week. This includes newer releases like On Dangerous Ground.
I bought and watched the Criterion blu ray for Night and the City. First time viewing. Excellent film noir and one of the best looking movies filmed in London. 5/5

I have had the BFI release for a while and just got around to watching it the other night. I agree with your assessment. Very good film. I read that Gene Tierney was cast as a favor to the producer, and that is evident in the film. That is my only issue with the film, and it is not a real issue. I would have liked to have seen more of her.
I also watched Thieves Highway from Arrow Academy the other night. I have had it off the shelf at least 3 times only to pick something else. I am glad I finally watched it. Richard Conte is very good as is the dependable Lee J. Cobb.
I was looking through the list of neo-noirs in the OP to pick something out to watch tonight, and I thought of Slam Dance and that perhaps it would fall under the neo-noir category with an everyman forced into the role of a detective to clear his name as well as the requisite double crosses and a femme fatal.
On another note, I watched Red Rock West a couple of weeks ago, and that made me wish that John Dahl would make another awesome neo-noir. (And that Nic Cage would pick more projects like Joe and Frozen Ground, less like Left Behind) Kill Me Again, Red Rock West, The Last Seduction were all great. I know he directs tv now and has directed movies since then, but I would love to see another stylish neo-noir.

I'm a huge John Dahl fan. I love all the movies you mentioned of his plus the underrated Joy Ride. I really wish he did more Neo Noir too. Kill Me Again was really good but for some reason I wasn't nuts about Val Kilmer in it. I can't tell if he wasn't good in it or was just wrong for the role or if I just need to watch it again. Its weird because Im a huge Val Kilmer fan too.

Yeah I've seen Unforgettable. It was pretty forgettable for me unfortunately (no pun intended). I forgot Dahl directed that and I'm surprised he did too. Liotta was the man in his prime though. I thought he was great in the extremely underrated Smokin Aces.
Damn I just saw the Concorde blu ray for Red Rock West and its Region B locked. Go figure. I don't understand Concorde. Some releases are Region free and others are Region locked. I just hope their upcoming Judgment Night blu ray is region free.
Last night, I watched my Cohen Media Blu-ray of Douglas Sirk's Lured, which is included in a set along with Sirk's A Scandal in Paris.
Lucille Ball (I Love Lucy television series) stars in this film noir as a dancer who believes that her friend has fallen prey to a serial killer who lures female victims with newspaper personal ads while sending cryptic poems about each victim to the police department. After being recruited by the police to work undercover as "bait" for the killer, she encounters an assortment of odd suspects while simultaneously falling in love with a wealthy stage producer, who is played by George Sanders (All About Eve, Rebecca, A Scandal in Paris). After becoming engaged to her new boyfriend, though, she discovers some alarming secrets about him. Lured was directed by Douglas Sirk, who would later become known for his melodrama movies, so this noir is an odd standout, but it's also my personal favorite Sirk film that I have seen so far. It's somewhat surreal to see Lucille Ball as a beautiful lead in a serious mystery thriller, and, although the film does have a few touches of lighthearted comedy, her role here shines a light on her talents as an actress for any genre across the board. Boris Karloff (Frankenstein) has an awesome supporting role as a dress designer (!) whom Ball's character meets while answering the personal ads while under police protection. Actor George Zucco, who is known for villainous roles in horror films, has a great part in Lured as the policeman assigned to shadow Lucille Ball while she responds to the newspaper ads to find the killer.
As with the disc of A Scandal in Paris, this Blu-ray of Lured sports a beautiful video presentation, along with an audio presentation that, despite some source flaws, gets the job done.
The best thing about Lured is Boris Karloff, as Great Owl said, he is awesome in it!
I think it's a decent noir, it's better than his other noirs Sleep, My Love & Shockproof. I do prefer his 50's melodrama's though.

Yeah I can respect that. Its been a long time since I've seen it so I should prob give it another watch anyways. I just remember it not being very good.
