Does anything come to mind? Thanks!
Tomorrow Is Another Day, amazing film one of my favorites! Unfortunately there is no blu ray release however it is out on DVD through Warner Archive.

I couldn't agree more, this was a big surprise...how I had never seen it before I don't know, it really is top shelf noir.

This catty comeback made me laugh out loud...George Taylor's love interest Miss Smith (Nancy Guild) is introduced to bad girl Phyllis (Margo Woode) for the first time:

Phyllis: "And who is the character with the hair?"
Taylor: "This is a...Miss Smith"
Phyllis: (sarcastically) "I get it"
Smith: "If it's around, I'm sure you will."

Just to add an echo to other reviews in here, Try And Get Me! is freaking great. When I read it was based on the same story from Lang's Fury I was worried it would feel like a retread. But unless I'm forgetting quite a bit about the latter, the two films stand solidly apart from one another.

I received and viewed my copy of The Chase yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am an avid fan of Cornell Woolrich and with this film being an adaptation of his novel The Black Path Of Fear I was very excited to check this one out and was not disappointed one bit! As with all of his work there is a certain nightmarish and surreal quality that is ever present here that adds a certain dynamic that really makes for an interesting narrative and atmosphere, the film itself doesn't overdo this angle and keeps it coherent and fairly straight forward while still keeping a hypnotic feel overall. The cast in this was also nothing short of amazing, Peter Lorre and Steve Cochran were both equally sadistic and gave chilling performances. I can easily say this is one of my favorite releases this year thus far, right up there with Woman On The Run and Try And Get Me!

Great!! Thank you so much!!

I'm sad to hear it hasn't made it to Blu-ray, but maybe the DVD is decent.

Into the Dark (Turner Classic Movies): The Hidden World of Film Noir, 1941-1950

[Show spoiler]

(I actually got mine for $22 and free shipping from Barnes & Noble by using a coupon, but there are quite a few sellers out there.)
I just received In the Dark (Turner Classic Movies): The Hidden World of Film Noir in the mail today.

This is a beautiful coffee table book that places emphasis on some truly great photos.

So many photos of gorgeous noir women, including color photos of Veronica Lake, Gene Tierney, etc.
Just stick a fork in me, people, because I'm done and I must be in heaven.

I watched the Fox DVD of Cry Of The City for the first time a few days ago and thought it was great. Anyone that doesn't have the movie should buy the upcoming Blu-Ray. Besides the upgrade in quality you're also getting a commentary the DVD didn't have.

Murder, My Sweet - Powell's Marlowe wasn't as good as Bogart's, but this movie was quite enjoyable. It had a lot of atmosphere to it, especially in the forest towards the beginning of the movie and the drugged scene was shot with great finese. It was a true spectacle. Unfortunately, the movie does run maybe 10 minutes longer than it should, but it was still a great one nonethless. I give it an 8/10.

I just saw on my instagram feed a photo from Arrow of all of their noir releases thus far with a caption stating that they will be adding to their film noir collection next Monday! Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeve!

I just re-watched MURDER MY SWEET tonight with its audio commentary, after having just watched the Blu-ray two weeks ago when I got it. It's one of my favorite noirs, a 5/5 or at least 4.5/5, depending on how recently I've seen it. The stunningly sharp HD picture really adds to the enjoyment of a movie that was already very good in SD or old analog TV, since more details of the settings, facial expressions, and costumes enhance the atmosphere. The Alain Silver audio commentary was good but I expected it to be better, so I'd give that a 4/5. As for Powell's Marlowe, I think he's at least as good as Bogart, perhaps a little better in some ways. Montgomery is also quite a good Marlowe in LADY IN THE LAKE.

Hard to believe that I have owned the classic film noir vol. 4 from DVD set from Warner for years now and have never watched a single film from it yet(or at least until the other night). I figured it was about time so I though in the Crime Wave/Decoy disc. Whew some excellent films there. Crime Wave was on point and a young Bronson was perfect in that brute role. Decoy had which a lot of people already have claimed, one of if not the most vicious(I mean vicious) femme fatales ever captured on film. I know Decoy was on that poll so a blu might be in the works but I would pick up Crime Wave in a second as well.

Looks like fellow member nitin very likely figured out what title Arrow Academy will be announcing on Monday. You can clearly see a glass with a key in it at the left edge of the pic, which should no doubt be a hint for The Glass Key (1942). The film was recently released in Germany, but potentially coming from Arrow is great news. Arrow Academy is UK-only, so hopefully someone in the US will announce it as well.
