Yeah, that rotating hallway fight and train down the middle of a crowded street during a shootout were pretty standard issue.

The train was on for a few seconds, and zero g fights have been done before you know.

If you use a general enough statement, everything in every current movie has been done before you know.

If you don't see the originality and effectiveness of that hallway fight, that's fine, but you're in the extreme minority. Even the critics that disliked the film overall have praised that sequence.

If you can point me to some Steven Seagal scenes that even remotely resemble the shootout during the Saito extraction at the beginning with the dreamworld crumbling, the initial shootout on the street in level 1 of the inception heist, or the rotating hallway fight, then by all means please do.

I also just found out that Nolan didn't let Hans Zimmer see the movie to score it, which [URL="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVkQ0C4qDvM"]I found odd until I can across this on youtube.[/URL]
Do you have a link? I'd like to read about that.

In no way does this detract from the story or greatness of the film. Its just something that should have been caught.
Sorry, but that's wrong. I just watched for it, and at no time did the seating arrangement ever change.
[Show spoiler]That was not Eames sitting next to two men with bags on their heads, that was Saito. The back row was Saito on the left, Eames/Browning in the middle, with a bag on his head, and Fischer on the right... yes, even in the underwater shot.

Cobb got mad because if create images from your memory it's easier to lose grasp on whats reality.
That's what he said, but really
[Show spoiler]he got mad because she used a place that is also part of his memories, (they showed a brief flashback of him and Mal at that location), and he knew that Mal would be showing up at any moment because of it. He was more concerned with his grasp of reality, not hers.

Wrong... he explained it all, at that time, that
[Show spoiler]the dreamer creates the space, and the subject's subconscious populates that space with their projections. The subject's projections seek and attack the dreamer when they detect the foreign nature of the dream... their subconsciouses attack each-other when things get weird.

I just thought of something and now i have a question:
[Show spoiler]I thought the 'kick' of the van hitting the water would wake them all up in the airplane, but they just woke up in that dream and did stuff like get out of the van. Did it not wake them all up because they hit a liquid, rather than a solid?
I hope i made sense haha.

[Show spoiler]The "kick" in the van would wake them up from the dream they went into from the van: Arthur's "hotel" dreamspace. Waking them up early from the van dream would need a kick at the level from which they entered that dream, which was on the airplane. They didn't use a kick for that, they just woke up when the drugs wore off. If you pay close attention to that sequence, they show Ariadne wake up in each dream-level through the whole chain of "kicks", one after the other, all the way back to the van.

Saw this today in an IMAX theater & Really enjoyed it. Talk about Stupendous Audio & possibly the most LFE Intense film in a while??!! Add the Visuals, "Original" storyline, good casting overall, & this is one of the best movies I've seen in a while. (Not sure I was into Ellen Page's in her role. Not Her personally, but her as that character. Someone OLDER looking would have worked better IMO. She looks like she's 15 to me ).

Anyway, IF you want, read more of my thoughts from a post in my friends' thread HERE.

Hypnotically haunting in the sense that it would have been better to watch the movie with ear plugs. Honestly, at some points I couldn't even hear what the characters were saying, the music was so loud. If you can scratch a piece of metal against another for two and a half hours what you get is Inception's soundtrack.

Why say things that make it look like you haven't even seen the movie?

I know how you feel man because I always seem prone when I'm in theaters that I have a sign on the back of my head that says "Please kick my seat" This really pisses me off to no end.

Wow you seriouly need to watch the movie again with the type of questions you're asking. Pay close attention this time, or better yet just enjoy the movie and don't think about it.

PETRA seems to be one of the few people on this thread that seems to get and understand the concept of this movie. Everything is explained and laid out for you with an ending that does not need to be spelled out to people.
I loved it the first time and it was even better the second time. If a movie gets people talking and disscussing like this then the director has done his job.

I saw this Weds. (IMAX theater, 3:20pm) & the theater wasn't TOO crowded thankfully. But OF COURSE, there was one guy Texting "before" the movie, which was okay (during previews he shut it off). Then, a couple came in, sat in front of me & the dude was texting as previews were going. I said to myself, "let him do his thing, until the MOVIE 'starts'..." -- So the movie begins & he starts texting again. I gave him Maybe 5-10 seconds & then said, "Dude, LOSE the Phone!" , and he did . He shut it off or put it in his pocket, but it didn't come out again, nor did they turn around to look at me or say something. I mean really, there's already a thread on this behavior, but when the LIGHTS GO DOWN & THE MOVIE BEGINS, "if" you're still texting, finish it & shut it off/put it away.
