Armond White is the worst critic ever. I think he's realized he gets more publicity by going against popular opinion. Look at the link below, he practically always goes against popular opinion. Poor reviews to Inciption (87%), The Kids are Alright (93%), and Toy Story 3 (99%), but positive reviews to Grown Ups (10%), Jonah Hex (13%), Clash of the Titans (30%), and The Last Song (21%), and those are just recent movies. He also gave poor reviews to Avatar, Iron Man and The Dark Knight.

I find the disparity between Metacritic and Rottentomatoes odd. Regardless, I'm seeing it sometime this weekend.

Looks like Im going to have to go against the norm and go to the midnight showing. If I were to wait the Mrs. could go with me Friday but Im thinking midnight show followed by a saturday matinee.

Totally agree Tommyboy! That's why I always go

They are a lot of fun, and less of the annoyances that you get during a normal show at the theater. Always a good time

That's a bummer

Our theater does one for just about every movie that comes out. Anything they think people will go to a midnight has one. I've gone to a few this summer already

My city only does them for movies like Twilight, I bet the next PoTC will get an 8 PM launch like 3 did.

Sad fact: I've never been to the Elks, but would love to. I missed out on the Tarantino movie marathon because one of the members of the party was a female that we were 100 percent sure would be repulsed/disgusted by Pulp Fiction. I think we ended up watching something gay....

Well, ours kinda boils down to if we can get a sitter, this weekend is out of the question, then the next 2 weekends are booked with events and travel. Then I'm headed out of town for the rally, so it's looking more and more like I'm going to see this at the Elks. It's not a bad theater, a bit dated, but $4 a head isn't bad at all.
