You are correct my friend!

[Show spoiler]I think it was one last suspense he wanted to give the audience; sort of like one last scare at a horror movie. It also very much so reminds me of the ending of X-Men 3 (which Nolan clearly took a lot of pointers on )

I have a question about one line:
[Show spoiler]When Cobb says "Thanks... for not asking if I did [kill my wife]". Was he genuinely grateful or was he upset?

That's the beauty of Nolan's stories. There's so much open for interpretation.
Nope.
[Show spoiler]Mal had come up with the concept of the totem. Not Cobb. As for whether he was in the dream world the whole time? His projections would have always attacked Mal since, by your theory, she would be the real person trying to get Cobb to come home. She was always pretty outward about making her presence known. The projections would have turned on her quite quickly. Instead, she is always part of the mob... usually leading. Plus, that would also mean that his whole team were projections and they would have all turned on her as well. Most of the time, you just see them let her do her thing. That doesn't make any sense to me within the conceptualization of your theory.

i think at that point of the movie, he seemed grateful, then after the fact you know he was upset.
[Show spoiler]Knowing the truth to her death.

I believe that he is sincere about being grateful she didn't ask. He is still in the emotional state of being upset, but it was probably the first time that the person hearing the story didn't ask that question.

Cool, thanks! I thought it was that, but the subtly of the delivery made it hard for me to tell. There was definitely power in the line, just not overtly clear what he meant.

I want to see it again already

[Show spoiler]He did kill his wife, probably a result of spending 50 years in limbo with her and realizing she never really left. Should he have done it? No. Do I really blame him for doing what he thought was the right thing to do? No.

Not my theory, I'm just talking about the
[Show spoiler]totem.
I didn't say anything about Mal.

Edit: As far as
[Show spoiler]Mal leading the Mob, I think she was only part of the Mob once
although I could be mistaken. I need to see the film again obviously.

But that is the beauty of it all.
[Show spoiler]He subconsciously feels guilty about planting the idea that led to her death. HOWEVER, he doesn't believe that he actually killed her. Again, another example of what the film is really about. It's not about getting home to his kids. It's about coming to terms with that guilt that is conflicting his entire being.

God willing, I'll be seeing it a third time tomorrow afternoon.

My beloved Dark Knight has been replaced.

What's even more odd is that within the span of two years, Nolan will have completed two trilogies: Memento, The Prestige, and Inception. Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and Batman 3.

This guy is making my entire Blu Ray collection look obsolete with this films. I'm damn serious when I say that.

Not really sure how Memento, Prestige and Inception are a trilogy in the traditional sense?

DANG! Wish this movie made 64M instead of 60M. Could have won me a copy of this movie from Moviestop.

During the midnight screening of The Dark Knight, which was my second viewing. Was pretty creepy and not during an action scene but one of the slower moments too.

I saw the movie again last night but am on page 45 of this thread working my way forward so, I'm trying not to repeat comments. The soundtrack is great by the way, as per the postings earlier I have acquired it and certainly recommend it.
