I'm really hoping for Hell Night as well, and Madman if they can get it from Code Red.

I wouldn't get too excited about The Mutilator, unless Synapse has hit the jackpot and uncovered film materials...several studios have been searching for years with no luck. It would be nice to get a decent look at all the great effects work though...the dragon dvd is consumed by darkness in a lot of the kill scenes...

I just got in Frankenhooker the other day on BD along with a few others from someone selling off his BD collection.

I dont know some guy from another forum im on said he was selling off his BD collection and i seen a few i wanted.

A film called Blood Rage aka Nightmare at Shadow Woods (1987) is supposedly coming soon according to someone who seems to possess insider knowledge and posts regularly at AV Maniacs - this might be one of the upcoming Synapse slasher titles. Never heard of it myself but I'll grab a copy unless its shot on video.

...confused me so much. So apparently there are people out there who use the term interchangeably with "horror" assuming it involves any kind of violence.

Every time I see that book, I laugh. Written by someone who obviously doesn't know what they're talking about, and published by a company that doesn't know any better (or just doesn't care).

I couldn't find a reference to it in the thread, but it certainly would explain the thoght process about some of the films listed in that thread.

I just saw Blood Rage for the first time this past year on a murky VHS. Loved it! Would love it if this got a bluray release. "It's not cranberry sauce".

Yep same here, a murky VHS copy about a year ago. Definitely an underrated one. Let's hope we do in fact see a better presentation than that murky VHS copy soon
