Your Crystal Palace boys provided a ‘wow’ factor (without a SoCal earthquake) this weekend.
Aha, so Libatique does like using 1.85 for the height.

As for the Palace, that game was special. Selhurst was rocking and the lads played out of their skins. It'll count for nothing if we lose to Cardiff at the weekend though. And hard luck tonight Steedy, why Poyet doesn't start Adam Johnson I'll never know.

5 at the back in a game we had to win. If I wasn't so fed up I would laugh.
Might as well wish you guys all the best. I'm pretty sure you are safe Cardiff won't win more games than you even if they beat you at weekend.

Kevin Feige has recently said that all of the remaining MCU films will be shot using the ARRI ALEXA camera to streamline the production and post production work flow. As some of you might know, the Alexa has a maximum resolution of 2.8K. So don't expect a 4K movie from Marvel until they change something along the way.

Edit: I found the article. http://m.hollywoodreporter.com/entry/view/id/148783
So... I kinda jumped the gun there when I said all future Marvel movies will be using the Alexa.
The filmmaker are only encouraged to use the alexa.

Keep in mind D-Cinema uses JPEG 2000 compression.

Is that for real ^, or did you post an April Fool’s joke a few hours early? If you’re serious then I am saddened in seeing you move on, especially so abruptly.

Something major has happened for him to just stop buying blurays, give up his projector, and stop posting on the forum.

And i don't agree bluray is a dying format-

There's something he's not telling us.

You see that bit about Blu-ray being a dying format is so WAY ‘out of character’ for him that it concerns me if he is o.k. I don’t want to jump to conclusions but I once had an acquaintance (in their 20’s), years ago that committed suicide which was preceded by some ‘odd’ out of character behavior which should have alerted us (be it friend or not) that something was amiss, but we all either ignored the ‘red flags’ due to coping with our busy day-to-day lives (e.g. I have a day long meeting starting in a few minutes) or didn’t recognize them at all.

To me, Steed giving up on Blu-ray in such an abrupt and extreme fashion is similar to you trash talking, or worse, your much admired Kuro plasma. I’m a little worried for him. I mean even if he were to give up on collecting Blu-rays and elite home theater viewing, he could still hang out in the Premier league thread, which Tob has in the Sports section….https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...201003&page=98 or if Sunderland goes down to the ‘Championship’, start a dedicated Football League Championship thread in the Sports forum we have here.

I hope he comes back too penton it is strange for him to give up on the blu ray format when he was in defence of it for a long time but lets hope he comes back again.

Hi guys, I am so sorry for causing you lot to worry. It was just an April fool prank that didn't work because 1st April was the quietest night in the history of the bluray subsection lol! I would of been on much earlier but we had a power cut and my smartphone is in my desk at work. (I don't risk using work computer!)Been without ipad, computer all day until half hour ago. I would have replied earlier, sorry again fellows.

I was going to declare my love for the google chromecast and talk about how it had converted me away from bluray.! Thought it might have been too obvious!

I feel so guilty now! I wouldn't just up and leave without staying in touch with you guys.

In the words of a famous football song

I'm bluray till I die, I am bluray till I Die
I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm bluray till I die!

Once again, sorry my friends, truly I am.

You see what happens Steedy? You see what happens when you try and tell a joke on blu-ray.com?

Well, what had me concerned was your *surrender and departure* post was time stamped, at least according to what I see on my computer, as the afternoon of March 31st, hours before April Fool’s Day….unless you were posting from some other planet in our solar system.

Then you went ‘silent’ on April 1st.

Good to see you’re alright . b.t.w., you now owe me a free dinner as restitution for the grey hairs you gave me with that failed tomfoolery.

in working group. It’s not like Netflix streaming.
e.g. Question (to anyone)…once Netflix gets the rights clearance from a country, how long does it take, technically, to start streaming Netflix into that particular country?

a. two days
b. two weeks
c. two months
d. two years
