Not sure about SMG, but Baldwin shines depending on the material he's given. For instance, any given episode of "30 Rock" proves your statement wrong.

I read earlier today (somewhere online) that the Resident Evil Trilogy is being released in December of this year on Blu-ray. Can anyone confirm?

it is not december but it is jan 2nd 2008. Litlle note. RE 3 will have a PIP with Milla and Oded.

Yes, I have. It's region free and released by Entertainment in Video. Anything else you are wondering? EiV have also released Alpha Dog and Lucky Number Slevin for example.

Isn't it not suppose to be on BD ? Does it come with AVC & DolbyTrueHD or DTS-HD ?

Who have said it is not supposed to be on Blu-ray? Universal is exclusive to HD-DVD and all movies they have rights over are exclusive to HD-DVD but they do not have the right to distribute U-571 and many other movies in UK or outside USA. Entertainment in Video holds this and they are exclusive to Blu-ray. U-571 is a Blu-ray exclusive title in UK. It's only HD-DVD exclusive in USA.

The disc comes with VC1 codec and two audio tracks, DTS-HD 5.1 or DD 2.0. No extra feature (the way I like it... )

Many other titles such as 12 Monkeys, Face/Off, Next, Lucky Number Slevin, Evan Almighty, AlphaDog, Children of Men, Hollywoodland and others are also available to Blu-ray. Do a search for these and you will find threads about this.
