It's up for preorder on Amazon.de but it says the release date is not until the 1st of July. That's a pretty late release after the North American one. I hope it gets pushed up earlier.
LOL at Confounded.

verwünscht has a double meaning. It can be "cursed" or "enchanted". I would guess that latter is meant...

Sorry about the bad translation then. My dictionary listed cursed or confounded and I thought the latter was more appropriate.

no problemo. I am surprised myself that the German title is not "Verzaubert", because that would be an alternative translation of enchanted without the second interpretation (if you think about it, cursed and enchanted are the same "process", only once in a bad and once in a good way)

Yay! Is this film any good? I love animation so I'd thought I'd give this a try.

Just saw that. And apparently the UK cover is quite nice. Plus, all the important extras are there, so it's very comparable with the US HD DVD release.

Beowulf is the first American adult animation feature in many decades, so it's not going to be anything you might expect. It's a wonderful take on the old poem, though, very interesting for all sorts of reasons.

And it's the first filmed Neil Gaiman screenplay ever, which is a reason to celebrate!

Seriously, is there a LAW that says that floating heads must never match the names on the cover?

Usually this doesn't bother me, but in this case, it's e-gre-gious.

The German Snatch cover is the first I recall seeing that is correct. And it's only a few posts above this one!

It's obvious the law is not valid in Germany.

Especially in this case they do match the center one and switch the left & right.
