Thanks. I don't buy overseas very often, so I'm not familiar with the trends. I'll try to keep that in mind though if (more like when) I need to make another purchase overseas. It made sense to me that I might get faster service from Amazon if I ran into any unforeseen problems, so with the small price difference, I went with Amazon.

True to form, The Harder They Come is £9.99 at HMV as well, price-matched by Amazon.

Been really looking forward to this release.

Watch it last night.. excellent release! PQ overall is very good with some minor instances of damage here and there. 1.66:! which I know is becoming more contentious as the standard UK AR for the time. Didn't listen to any of the commentary as it was very late but watched the two featurettes which were great, especially the nearly half hour making of doc. A lot of talking heads but a good insight, especially into working around such a low budget.

Just given Horror Hospital a spin, it's a beaut. Odeon have been doing a great job with these discs.

One cannot have enough Robin Askwith in one's collection

Sure I saw him in Emmerdale the other night, still rocking the same mullet.....Legend!

After reading your positive comments/observations about Horror Hospital recently, am very likely going to get Odeon's Blu-ray at some point. Have got Tower of Evil on pre-order (that's released on Blu-ray just before Christmas).

You mentioning Robin Askwith made me think of another horror film he starred in, which was released on DVD by Odeon and which I'd like to see released on UK Blu-ray by Odeon, Flesh and Blood Show.

Was thinking about picking up Shout at the Devil, but can anyone confirm whether the above is true or not? Can't find any info online so far. Might just have to go for the U.S. release if it is cropped.

The UK release is indeed cropped. From memory it starts the title sequence correctly, but then zooms in to fill the screen...

Got Scorpion's Tower Of Evil, interested to see how they compare transfer wise. This is a great atmospheric little flick.

Candace Glendenning was a real beauty, wish she had done more work.

Scorpion's BD has some funky colors / flesh tones, so there is room for improvement. But really excited to hear about Richard Gordon's commentary!
