Been holding off on buying all the Kino releases for Pete Walker films in the hope that some kind of box set might get offered by a UK distributor.

I've only got Odeon's Blood on Satan's Claw & Witchfinder General, but both releases have some magnificent extras, and I'm more than happy with the transfer & sound quality, so I can't wait for all the Pete Walker stuff to get a UK blu-ray release eventually.

Even MORE classic Pete Walker Horror/Exploitation/Sleaze finally being offered by a UK distributor? On blu-ray?

Man.... what's not to like

Dr Terror Steelbook and Amazon. Some of you that have ordered this through Amazon are unlikely to receive your orders for release date. Amazon cancelled their large new release order inadvertently and I have contacted them several times to point this out without success. Sadly there are few humans at Amazon to get hold of these days, in contrast to other retailers and etailers who have been calling us constantly to reserve more stock due to demand. I have told Amazon that we are reserving stock for them until next week when we will have to release it to other retailers as it goes on general sale on Monday. For those of you who have pre-ordered through Amazon and don't receive a shipping notice by Monday, please email them and perhaps someone there will realise they have a lot of orders to fulfill.

Take a photo of the spine.

Be careful when taking the stickers that hold the paper sleeve on off the steelbook. They're the kind that come off without tearing but can leave a horrible sticky residue on the steelbook if pulled too quickly. I got mine off OK but took a bit of time about it.

It's a lovely restoration, sadly marred by way too low a bitrate. Grainy technicope really needed more room to breathe. The Christopher Lee extra which is available elsewhere should have been downscaled to standard def or dropped altogether IMO to allow the main feature more room to breathe. The encoder on a very tight bitrate is visible struggling with the thick un-DNRed Techniscope grain structure, which I'd give as a black mark against this release. So frustrating when a brilliant new scan is let down at the encoding stage.

Off the top of my head I got 18** something. Arrived direct from Screenbound/Odeon on Thursday.

No photos but the spine issue amused me.
