I agree. For me, I'd rather the character of Bond be closer to how he was written. I'm not necessarily against a black Bond, but I don't want a black actor chosen simply because it's "time". I would be okay if they opened up auditions to other races, and if the best actor for the job just happens to not be white, then so be it. But as I've said, I'd still rather the character be how Fleming wrote him. I think it would be a great idea to add someone like Elba as another 00 and if people love it, then expand it and spin it off into his own films.

They're were rumours invented by someone (a nobody) in the late 90's, about Denzel Washington being 'the next James Bond', after Pierce Brosnan. Funny that, because he's never even spoken to Michael Wilson or Barbara Broccoli, ever!

Maybe, in a month's time, it will be Danny DeVito, who will be touted as the next Bond. Then, everyone will have forgotten all about the previous, wacky, Idris Elba chronicle. Maybe, after the Danny DeVito idea; they'll move on to George W. Bush as the next strong contender.

Unless, he wants to be sued by MGM & Sony, for breach of contract, I don't think he has a choice in making a 5th. After that, he can play the 'Give me more money and I'll make another one' game with them.

I had an idea yesterday. After Craig does the fifth film, if he wants to throw in the towel, they should bring Brosnan back for just one more as an older Bond. It would have a different feel from the Craig versions and would allow the franchise to reset in a way. Then they can bring in a new actor. Of course, that is highly unlikely to the extreme, since I believe Brosnan is bitter towards the producers after he was let go. I think he deserves a better final film than Die Another Day, though. Maybe that's just me.

Yes, but look at the mocking he got. You think Craig (who looks older than Moore for his age) wants that? The last time Moore looked young enough to play Bond was in Moonraker when he was roughly 50.

I didn't say he would be short of big movie offer's, but nothing will pay him as much as James Bond.

As for the lines on his face; he could always get a facelift, like Roger Moore did, after Octopussy.

I think the sweet spot for Daniel Craig, will be a 6th film. An educated guess, would be that, we will see that one in 2021. By that time, he'll be 53.

Then, if that was to be his last; they'll be a 3/4 year gap to appoint a new actor and make the next instalment to the franchise, taking us up to 2025.

Then, all those idiot's, who cheered to the implausible Idris Elba rumour in 2015, will be thinking about how silly they were back then to believe he had even a chance.

As far as i can see,it says 15 on the box of the set,so does this mean it is indeed the uncut version included?

It's the uncut one, I think Licence to Kill and Tomorrow Never Dies are also rated 15. Not all the Deluxe Edition extras are on the new Casino Royale Blu-ray. You do get:

Just finished Licence to Kill. Wasn't bad. No cheesy dialog. I did feel it dragged a bit, but not overly so.

I'm trying to decide if I should keep or sell the Moore set and Conney Vol 2. I dunno. On one hand, I like the complete set, on the other, is likely rebuy for 4K, so I'm not sure it matters.

I originally set out to buy Brosnan & Craig only because of the condensed sets, got the rest because they were a good deal...

Thoughts?
