I am going back through the Bond movies and getting rid of titles that just don't bring me joy in watching them. Suffice to say, I am getting rid of all the Craig films. He's a good actor and they are well made, but I can't get into them. Brosnan's best was Goldeneye. Dalton was ok, but not enough for me to keep. Moore was sometimes great, sometimes horrible. Lazenby was passable. Connery IS James Bond.

Not that anyone cares, but here's how I rank the top 10 based on nothing more than pure enjoyment....
1. Goldfinger (Connery)
2. From Russia with Love (Connery)
3. Dr. No (Connery)
4. Goldeneye (Brosnan)
5. Thunderball (Connery)
6. You Only Live Twice (Connery)
7. A View to a Kill (Moore)
8. The Spy Who Loved Me (Moore)
9. The World is Not Enough (Brosnan)
10. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Lazenby)

Anything past 1985 i don't care much for. The last Bond film was the worst and i gave it away.

The Pierce Brosnan pack is seemingly oop now, with it going for 80+ on Amazon. Is it likely MGM will re-issue the pack sometime soon again? I know they'll do another 25 film set when 25 comes out, I'd just prefer to get them by actor. Curious that the other sets are all still in stock though.

I’m just hoping the Bond films get rereleased as 4K in the actors sets! I know the Craig was announced at some point, but I hope the rest aren’t far behind!

Same, I'd just hate to wait, and have them never happen, and then the blus have gone oop by then.

I believe the Brosnan set was recently reduced a while back so that probably explans the set being OOP. Either that or people bought the set just for Goldeneye. LOL.

That's weird, a similar thing happened with Milton Reid.

Considering Reid used to get into fights in India it's not impossible that the man was killed

This arrived in the mail today. It's mainly for decorative purposes, since CDs are my listening format of choice, but still...

I used mine mid-December and it worked. Not sure about now, but I would imagine it would still be fine.

I've somehow managed to never see any James Bond films, and decided it was about time I did. I went to rent Dr. No on iTunes, and realized it was only available for purchase (at 9.99). After that, it was a no-brainer to pick up this set, which came to less than $3 per movie. I'm so glad I did. Not only is it cheaper, it comes with a ton of special features and looks great. I just watched Dr. No and totally enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to digging into the rest of the set.

Man, I envy anyone getting to see the James Bond movies for the first time (even the crummy ones).

I've only seen about half of them myself, despite getting this set as a lead-up to Spectre. I'll have to rectify that before the new one comes out. Craig's last seems like a fitting occasion for that kind of marathon.

So far, my favorite old-school Bond is Goldfinger. My favorite newer one is Casino Royale, just edging out Skyfall. The worst one (so far) is the one where he goes to Japan and gets surgically altered to fit in. That one was cringe-worthy. The voodoo one with Yaphet Kotto blowing up like a balloon was also pretty bad, but fun in a campy way. I quite liked the Dalton one w/ Benicio Del Toro; surprisingly hard and violent for a Bond.

(Sorry I don't know all the titles off the top of my head. But for what it's worth, I can name all 30+ Godzilla movies in chronological order! )

I even though I had purchased several individual titles (including some the cooler 50th anniversary cover art ones and 2 of the Best Buy steelbooks), I just recently bought the complete collection at Walmart as it was only $80.00

It's a nice simple box and compact too.

Especially starting right from the beginning. Watching the 60s ones where he first learns of the existence of SPECTRE right up to the final scene of OHMSS is quite the story arc and still my favourite run of the entire series.
