Ugh, there's always a lower price. Thought $80 would be the low point.

70 is a good price. Is there any hope of actual UHD discs of these coming anytime soon like the Craig movies or is this set the best way to go?

Hoping it’ll get down to $50 like Walmart had it, was never able to find it so would love if Amazon matched that.

Awesome. What store did you see them in?

I’d like to snag the Dalton and maybe Connery 1.

Does the white box edition have all of the special features that the black box edition has?

What are the odds of getting 4K discs for the pre Daniel Craig movies?

No, the black box has another disc of extras which includes (among other things) the rather good documentary Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007. Whether that's worth the price jump or not is up to you.

Last month I noticed the actor collections were back on shelves, and yesterday for Christmas I was surprised to find them as gifts under the tree. Between my mom and brother they managed to get me all but the Timothy Dalton collection, which my brother said he could not find anywhere. I've looked myself and it is indeed out of stock (or not even listed at all) on every website I've searched. Not even any copies being sold on Amazon Marketplace! Is there a particular reason this set seems so hard to find? I can't imagine they would re-issue all the others but not this one.

Could it be there are only two movies in it, and they have a lot of stock of the singles to move?

I don't know. I just find it strange that all the other sets (even the George Lazenby one, which only has one movie) are readily available on Blu-ray everywhere I look but this one isn't. I couldn't even find used copies being sold on eBay! It's like it's been Thanos snapped from reality or something. Anywhere I do find it in stock, it's only the DVD version.

When I tried looking up the standalone discs, I found The Living Daylights at a few places but then Licence to Kill was difficult to find. Amazon was out of stock but said more would be arriving in January, so I just went ahead and ordered those individual releases for the time being so that I'd at least have copies of them. Hopefully the Dalton collection comes back on the market so I can have a complete set of these actor collections. The whole thing is so peculiar.

No, the 4K transfers available digitally were released after the blu ray discs were. Hopefully soon, the classics will come to 4K.

I'd love to see something like this done for the packaging for the next James Bond Collection box set. This release has utilized all the poster art and ads for the films. MGM should take note - this is how to design a box set...

https://www.facebook.com/severinfilm...65270134955038

Ideally the next Bond set would look like Shout Factory's Friday The 13th Deluxe edition box set with every title in its own case with the original poster art on each cover, but I don't know if MGM will go that route having so many titles in the franchise. Either way, it will be a much better design than the Black and White blank cover box sets, which IMO, are the WORST packaging ideas of all time.

Any idea if they might be doing a new set once NTTD releases?

2022 is the 60th Anniversary of the EON series so I would expect a new 4K Box set with all 25 EON films next year. Never Say Never Again and Casino Royale '67 might also get 4K releases as well.
