Well there's the problem. Do I just buy this set or wait for the ultimate 4K set? (I already own the ultimate DVD set, lol)

So many times in the past I've picked up a BD set only to have the 4K set drop 2-3 years later.

I don't see why this franchise wouldn't get a complete 4K set. James Bond is one of the most popular franchises of all time. It seem crazy to me that such a franchise wouldn't get the ultimate upgrade. Especially when films like GoldenEye are allegedly so bad looking on BD.

Well, I just pulled the trigger today to upgrade my DVDs of these to Blus, so you know what that means - they'll announce that 4K collection first thing tomorrow morning!

If a 4K set were to come out, I can't imagine the initial price being anything less than $200. If anything, it would most certainly be north of that amount.

Given it’s Vudu only, I’d rather just buy the sets on iTunes if it turns out they never come out on 4k disc.

Because MGM's distribution deal with Fox, who put out this and the Craig 4K set - is dead? Because they're being bought out by Amazon, who may possibly keep it as a premium programming on Prime streaming? Because it's only $70 which is not very much considering all the discs you get?

iTunes? Limited only to iTunes. No lossless audio either. No HDR (except the Craig ones). And possibly going to Amazon Prime instead. Not worth the risk.

The Fox bit is irrelevant. They put out what MGM told them to put out. Now WB is MGM's disc distributor, so if they want to put them out, WB/SDS would distribute; that's the only difference the Fox thing makes.

The Amazon issue could be something. But keep in mind, despite selling digital movies from many studios, Amazon also continues to sell Blu-Rays too. So it's not a certainty.

I'm also curious what kind of say Eon has... can they force a release, given they certainly have financial interests too? Anyone know how the MGM/Eon relationship works for home video?

Yes, they continue to sell Blu-rays but they have not put any of their programming out in 4K UHD. This is what we're really discussing here. It's one thing to reprint the Fox discs via SBS/Warner on standard Blu. It's another to create a 4K box set.

Just redeemed all of the movies on VUDU.

Amazon sent the box in a thin plastic mailer with no damage.

I think the Amazon warehouse in Riverside just loads up a truck and drops them off in Palmdale then to me in Santa Clarita. It's not like it is coming from across the country so there is probably less chance of damage.

Or I just lucked out. Think of the box in a grocery plastic bag which is how it was packed.

I had been so tempted when the white box went on sale but I kept looking at the black box with digital which is what I really wanted.

As hard as it was to hold off on the white box I’m glad I did.

I have bought a few of my favorite Bond’s on iTunes and they are in 4K but glad to have complete HD on VUDU and the Blu-ray’s.

A very nice box and love the packaging. I’ve been wanting this box since it first came out but the price was too high.

Time to purge some of my individual titles even though I’ll be lucky to get 50 cents for them.

I'm REALLY tempted to snag this, but I also kind of want to wait until whatever the next set is with NTTD included. It would feel weird to have the entire collection of actors minus one movie.

I will be buying No Time To Die 4K combo and that will complete the box. I will insert Quantum into a paper sleeve and insert the Blu-ray from the combo into that empty slot and it will be complete up to the Daniel Craig era. I never liked Quantum.

Not sure if the code is MA but will redeem the code on iTunes if not MA
