This "initial set" you're referring to is the standard James Bond Collection (white)?

I'm assuming the "Amazon set" you're referring to is the Ultimate James Bond Collection (black)? I just ordered the Amazon exclusive, and the unboxing vid posted by burningfool shows a Skyfall disc (@ 5:48) that matches everything else. So, I'm confused what you're talking about?

I've been surfing though this thread and it's hard to find a definite answer. Does the "white" collection have the new bonus disc as well with the Everything Or Nothing documentary or is that an Amazon exclusive?

I was reading this forum too and the white box does NOT have the bonus disc.

White box just has the 23 movies plus a code to download the SPECTRE promos. The discs oddly are not distributed evenly among the three cases, for example the four Daniel Craig films have their own little case. Also when they say these are repackaged they really mean it, the copy of Licence to Kill in my set has the disc art from the original blu ray release.

Thanks! I took the code to the left. Thought you should know.

Hmmm. In that case one might be better off with the Bond 50 that contains Skyfall. At least you also get the 2012 special feature disc, slim as it is... As of right now, the price is pretty close.

I read somewhere that if you redeem the actor set codes on Flixster, each movie will show up in your UV connected Vudu account individually, not lumped together under their respective "bundle and save" headers. Can anyone confirm this?

EDIT: Answered my own question. i redeemed the actor sets on Flixster and they showed up in Vudu as individual titles.

I just got Licence to Kill the other day and i've always wondered how they got away with reinstating the MPAA edits into Licence to Kill while still retaining the PG-13 rating. I know they are not that extreme but they still seem quite graphic and disturbing for PG-13, tho I haven't actually seen the censored cut in many years so I don't really remember how those scenes were editied originally.

Looks like the Amazon exclusive set is under review. Anyone know what for?

http://www.amazon.com/Amazon-Exclusi...n%3A2650305011

Amazon:
"Item Under Review
While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)

We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible."

Good question. I'd also like to know why because I just recently ordered the Amazon exclusive.

I'm looking for some guidance here...

I picked up the Brosnan and Craig collections. The idea was to eliminate the individual titles to save shelf space.

I then grabbed Connery Vol 1 and Moore Vol 1 while I was there...then ordered the Vol 2's online.

2 questions:

1) I haven't seen anything before GoldenEye. Bits of the one with the jaws dude and I remember pieces of some awful one with missiles. It looks like I might be making a mistake with the Moore Bonds but is it worth risking opening them or the Connery ones? I love the Craig ones and I remember loving the Brosnan ones too...I recently saw GoldenEye and yikes...time has been rough. I just don't want to get stuck with a bunch of really cheesy and corny movies that people are only buying for nostalgia reasons. Thoughts?

2) I have the 2-disc version of Casino Royale, I plan to sell my singles to a friend if I keep the Craig and Brosnan sets. How are you double-dippers handling the extra disc?

If that's your attitude, then yeah you're probably going to find most of the older ones cheesy and corny, particularly the Moore ones. You might like the two Dalton ones as they're a bit more modern and not so silly.

I'm open to it. I try hard not to have preconceived notions. I know they are very different films, but I bought watched and sold films like Dog Day Afternoon (excellent acting by Pacino) because I didn't see rewatch value. I also thought French Connection was very boring and French Connection 2 is right up there with some of the worst films I've ever seen. I was born in 84, if that helps.

It's four movies with Digital HD for $10. Buy it!

People don't like them for nostalgic reasons. They like them because they are fun and colorful and entertaining. Goldeneye has aged like fine wine too. Strange. Craig's films could learn a thing or two from the films of decades past. Craig's films feel like they're the Bond movies for people who don't really like Bond all that much, aside from Casino Royale, which is fantastic and one of the best.

As you get older, there's a good chance your tastes will change. I love the movies you just mentioned, and feel they have plenty of repeat viewing value. But I prefer the classics now because they tend to have more substance than most films coming out today.

I also love the old Bond movies. Goldfinger is still the best 007 film ever made. There is some definite cheese factor with the Moore era films, but they're still entertaining. I love watching The Man With the Golden Gun. Bond face off against Christopher Lee's Scaramanga is great fun.

Looks like whatever Amazon was "reviewing" about the regular set has been resolved. $94 is the lowest I've seen for the white/regular edition so far

I love these movies and i only own Casino Royale on blu and OHMSS / the two Daltons / YOLT / Thunderball on dvd.

I still haven't made a birthday present to myself and for the last few days i've been looking around for deals on these movies. I think the cheapest way to get all of them right now is from Canada as it comes to 77,45 euros with standard delivery. But now I'm worried that if my old american ps3, that still works fine, ever breaks i'll be left with these movies i love (and can't exactly afford right now) and no way of seeing them.

There isn't much to them. They're just standard 3 or 4 disc cases in a slipcase.
