Good list, Dreamliner. I'm glad both Dalton films made your top 5!

Are they going to re release the movies every time a new movie comes out? Lol. And the new covers are easily the ugliest

Yes, they've always re-released them, every time a new Bond movie is released, going right back in time to the VHS era.

It was tough. I had to add each movie to the list as I watched. Glad I did that. Thinking back, they all kinda meld together except for standout scenes.

I think nostalgia will kick in a bit on the Brosnan flicks and I like the Craig movies a lot, so they are likely to be at the top.

I like the complete set, but it might be pointless if I never watch them. I dunno.

Licence is the one bond I'd love to edit.

There is a lean, amazing hour and 40 minute movie there.

Just bought the standard Blu Ray set used for £53, bargain! Can't wait to see what the picture is like and the bonus content.

Buying another bluray Bond collection with new packaging? No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. All I want to do is move on. I haven’t given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I'll stick with my bond 50 collection.

Finished the original 20 movie run in my marathon earlier this week so I figured I'd type up my best to worst list. This list is just my personal opinion, I like and dislike aspects of all the films.

Pierce Brosnan is my favourite Bond by the way. I grew up with him as Bond and he will always be my fave Closely followed by Dalton of course.

Best to Worst (1962 - 2002)
[Show spoiler]On Her Majesty's Secret Service
Goldfinger
The Living Daylights
Licence to Kill
Goldeneye
From Russia With Love
Live and Let Die (I grew up watching this one - special place in my heart )
The Spy Who Loved Me
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World is Not Enough
Dr No
Thunderball
Octopussy
For Your Eyes Only
You Only Live Twice
A View to a Kill
The Man With The Golden Gun
Moonraker
Diamonds are Forever
Die Another Day

Moving onto the rebooted series with Craig in 2 weeks :P

What I came to realize (as a recent/new Bond fan) is that it's worth it to have them all. Because it's all part of the same series, eventually, you'll come to enjoy the variety, and your opinions can sometimes change over time.

I became a fan with Craig's Casino Royale and loved the seriousness and the depth of Bond's character therein. When I decided to visit the rest of the series afterword, I didn't like much of them; too silly. But eventually, things have morphed and now Roger Moore's run is my favorite set of the films. Lazenby is my favorite overall, but I came to find that Roger's were the most fun and entertaining. Outside of CR, I haven't been too impressed with Craig's tenure. I used to hate GoldenEye for being so close to fully serious, but having things like Alan Cumming's Boris character be too goofy. But now GE is in my top 5 Bond films.

I dunno, it's up to you, but you already own the films. You won't get a ton of money for them anyway, and they'll be there if you ever want Bond, but not a Bond you've seen too much. Or if maybe you want lighthearted Bond. Gritty Bond. Campy Bond. Complicated Bond.

The entire series offers a lot of variation in terms of tone and style. The variety presented makes it attractive to own even ones that I despise. I will probably never love Diamonds Are Forever.... but it's still Bond, and I'd rather have it than not when I want something different.

I agree with this, though have to make an exception for DIE ANOTHER DAY. I'm a Bond fan going all the way back to 1965 and I think every film in the series is worth owning, some more than others, of course, but really you said it all when it comes to being a completist on Bond. Still though, I will NEVER EVER own nor watch DIE ANOTHER DAY again unless someone can make me special glasses where all I see in the movie is Rosamund Pike.

I think even in the worst Bond film, there's still something to enjoy. A stunt, a song, an action sequence... something. I loathe DAF, but I love Bond rappelling/grappling outside the Whyte House with a grappling/piton gun, I also like Lana Wood!

For DAD, I very much love the first act. Bond being captured, tortured, disavowed and setting out on his own was boss. Yeah, the rest of the film lets it down, but what a beginning!

Also, I think Bond flipping the Aston over with the ejector seat and dodging a low flying missile was pretty damn cool.

Die Another Day was enjoyable up until the hotel room scene in Hong Kong, before Bond travels to Cuba.

The rest of it is just TRASH.

I would say Die Another Day was good for about an hour before the movie moves to Hoth.

I love his first three all the way through. They don't go off the deep end like Die Another Day did, especially after such a promising start.
