Anyone ordered this from Amazon and got it undamaged? I am still thinking of getting it but worried about the flimsy outer case

Yes. In a box and bubble wrapped. Perfect. The case is not that flimsy. It's just kind of a pain to slide it apart when u want in it.

Is the $120 price good all week? Or just until the end of today? I am worried that it might hit $100 again though $20 isn't all that much

Was this the case with the UK Bond 50 box set anyway? If so, that's fine with me. Odd as to why they didn't include them though, especially if there's still room on the disc?

Those 9 discs were the pre-Brosnan films that were released in the first wave of Bond BDs in '08-'09. Since those particular UK discs were pan-European releases, the original sound mixes were omitted in favor of additional foreign language dubs.

When the remaining pre-Brosnan films were released in the Bond 50 set in 2012, MGM's thought process on making regional disc versions had changed and as such only a single region-free global disc (with the original, 5.1 upmix, and foreign dub tracks) was made for each film that hadn't already seen a prior BD release.

Note that MGM didn't re-do the discs that were already released in 08'-09' though, so they are identical between the UK single-disc releases and the UK "Bond 50" box, as well as between the US singles and corresponding "Bond 50" box.

As for the two Brosnan BDs released in '08-'09, theatrical Dolby Surround had by already been introduced by Goldeneye's 1995 release. That means their DTS-HD MA 5.1 tracks are for all intents and purposes the original theatrical mixes.

I am wondering if this is packaged similar to the Home Alone Collector's Set? I ordered it from Amazon and it was packaged inside 2 different boxes, very good protection! Can anyone that ordered it from Amazon let me know if this was the case?

United Kingdom Amazon.UK pricing difference(s)

Ok - quick question. So, as far as I can tell, digital codes aside & the poster booklet thing, those are the only "major" differences between the "Ultimate" collection (black box), & the regular 23-film set (white box), correct?

I see there are a couple 007 Doc's, that look like nothing "New" really in the Ultimate set, but for $70 U.S./Regular white one or $115/Ultimate black box (both via Amazon.uk Currently) , saving $35 seems like a no-brainer for only a few minor differences. The poster booklet thing, while maybe being cool, a Big maybe - is Not worth $35 extra

So, am I Missing something, or is that about it?

Thx.

Bonus disc, booklet and digital code is exclusive to black edition only. It is sold at BBY and Amazon as far as I know of that is all.

Just be advised that the UK disc for Quantum of Solace (but no other discs) is LOCKED to Region-B.

don't matter - I have that one already anyway, a few actually (from the series), plus I have a Mod Kit on my 103D (not that I'd need it with owning some of these BDs)

The main reason many wanted the black box set was the Everything or Nothing documentary on the bonus disc. I believe the black set is the only place to get that doc. Still probably not worth an extra $35.

Not everything. According to The Digital Bits' expansive run-through of the bonus disc, the six Skyfall "Video Blog" entries didn't carry over.

This is great to hear. I was hesitant to get this because, per amazon and this site, the whole set is region B locked. I only own a few Bond blus and Quantum is one of them. I'll be grabbing this UK white set for around $70 US thanks to your confirmation.

Thanks,
RC
