I can see Risico as a title to a modern Bond movie, Hildebrand Rarity is pushing it.

Agreed. The others sound hokey for film titles. I never knew about these other four Ian Fleming novels. Thought they had fulfilled their original contract with Fleming to film all titles before venturing out into new territory. Maybe they got away with it somewhat by filming in part or in full the storylines Fleming wrote for these others into their screenplays that have followed since Casino Royale?

Those are not novels, they are short stories and are part of the books For Your Eyes Only (Risico, The Hildebrand Rarity) and Octopussy & The Living Daylights (Property of a Lady, 007 in New York). I wouldn't rule out any title being used in the future though, I mean Quantum of Solace seemed like the least likely title for a film to me at one point yet they made that work.

Property of a Lady was the title of the cancelled third Dalton Bond film project in the early 90s, but the plot had already been used for the auction scene in the movie Octopussy. Risico formed part of the plot of the movie For Your Eyes Only (the bit about Kristatos conning Bond into thinking Columbo is his enemy).

In addition to what baheidstu said about Property of a Lady and Risico, I'd like to add that The Hildebrand Rarity is the source of the character Milton Krest and his boat the Wavekrest (featured in Licence to Kill).

Agreed. I hope they don't do this, though. If this was the case, would anyone really buy this?

I think The Property of a Lady would be a great title for a Bond film, it's the only one of the four that I like.

I think 'Risico', is equally as good, also. My prediction is; at some time in the future, stories will be drafted to utilise both these titles.

It's unlikely, in my opinion that 'The Hildebrand Rarity' or '007 in New York', would ever be used. The later-especially.

"007 In New York" sounds campy as hell, it's basically the title of a Friday the 13th film. Not sure why Ian Fleming decided on it when he was so great at coming up with every other Bond-esque title that he did.

To pose another question: if the February release IS just a Daniel Craig collection including Spectre, then is it worth $50 bucks?

Not at all. You can get the existing Craig collection on BD for $15 on Amazon. Even adding in Spectre at full price still wouldn't be $50.

It just was a little throwaway short story about Bond warning a female agent (Solange - which is where the character name in Casino Royale came from) about her boyfriend being a KGB agent It includes a very specific recipe for scrambled eggs, so I don't imagine he gave much thought to the title. Most of the Fleming short stories are pretty thin as they were originally episode ideas for an aborted TV series.

I just bought "Collection" (white one) yesterday at Wal-Mart. I'm happy to get it and some of James Bond titles that I didn't see it and every 007 film of George Lazenby (1), Roger Moore (7) and Timothy Dalton (2) yet and so I only seen every 007 films of Sean Connery (7 include Never Say Never Again), Pierce Brosnan (4) and Daniel Craig (4) that it. I'm also looking forward to see 007 marathon.

Sorry if this has been answered, but I haven't seen it posted..

I finally just got around to opening my black box set and redeeming the code (went to foxredeem.com and redeemed through vudu) .. looks like I got all 23 films, but not the bonus material. Is that expected? Stinky, I was hoping to watch the bonus material on the plane Monday...

cheers,
..dane
