In December, Disney had offered $52.4 billion in stock for the bulk of Fox assets, before Comcast swooped in with an all-cash offer for $65 billion last week.

On Wednesday, Disney said its offer was for a mix of cash and stock and would allow shareholders to choose which they preferred. The company said it would pay $35.7 billion in cash and issue roughly 343 million new shares to 21st Century Fox shareholders. Disney will also assume about $13.8 billion of net debt of 21st Century Fox.

I will use the flimsy excuse to post here that is will affect Fox’s decision on DoVi vs HDR10+.

Let's hope that Sony and LG add HDR10+ decoding to their TVs and BD players. Hopefully that will be the olive branch for Samsung to include Dolby Vision to their HDR line up. We need all UHD/HDR TVs and DAV products to be Universal devices!

Only overwhelming support will drive Samsung to accept something that everyone else has.

I’m aware of small stickers (like for one’s laptop) which are available from a seller on ebay that read something like “4K HDR with Dolby Vision”. if that whets your appetite as substitute for a T-shirt.
