You have a TV that supports HDR10+ and DV?

Haha! I guess the next step is for us to get a compatible player now.

Is there a list on this site for all 4K UHD players that are compatible with HDR10+?

I'll just add the discontinued Oppos as well.

Why the K8500 more? Isn't that player long dead now?

Dead how? I bought it on day one and I've never had a single problem with it...

I bought the UBK90 when I got my Vizio for Dolby Vision and started using it but it stuttered on me (if that's the correct word for it) during movies a couple times so just stuck to using it for DV discs.

Plus I like being able to switch resolutions for Blu and 4K on the K8500.

Really, you can do that with the Samsung?
The one thing my LG doesn't do, it always just upscale DVDs and Blu-rays to 4K instantly.

Yeah, the Samsung lets me switch to 1080p for Blu-rays so I can let the TV do the upscaling instead.

Looks like even Turbine Medien is on board with HDR10+ now.

I guess that the mastering & authoring tools have got to the point where they can run it off so easily (it's just an automated analysis pass) that they might as well include it. Nice.
