@Pieter V,
Something tells me you won't need those two reserved spaces at the beginning of this topic. This topic will be six years old in May 2024 and sadly there's been very few HDR10+ releases... Cheers |

Watched the 4K (with HDR10+) of 'American Gangster' recently on my Samsung and thought the picture quality was beautiful- great movie too. |

Given that LG already appear to have dropped Dolby Vision on most, if not all of their 2023 LED TV's, it will be interesting to see what HDR implementations their 2024 TV's will bring us...

It's always possible but I doubt LG is going to share their tech with the HDR10+ forum - namely Samsung, their biggest competitor.

Shirley it'll just be their own post-processed DTM like they have at the moment? There's nothing to "share" as it's not a metadata-derived format unto itself, just their own tone mapping. But the rivalry is real, LG and Samsung fookin hate each other so I can't see LG adopting their rival's key dynamic tone mapping format. If they're dropping Dobly from cheaper TVs to save money then, well, those were never aimed at discerning types in the first place, but as this 'news' is mostly coming from that anti-DV clown on YouTube then...meh.
