My dvd's and blu's are mixed together and organized mainly by genre/theme and secondly by director/actors. Music dvd/blu on their own on bottom shelf of cd's and TV dvd/blu on another smaller shelf with games as well. The larger the collection gets the more difficult to continue in such a way though and running out of room

Considering seperating dvd's and blu's though.

I have mine arranged alphabetically by studio, then by title. If there's a movie series, like Underworld for example, I arrange them chronilogical(spelling?) order story-wise. My Bond films I have arranged by release date.

I'd like to add that at 68 blu's,(at the moment) I can actually just scan them all in like 10 seconds and find the one I'm looking for.

My bought DVD's and burned DVD's and concerts DVD's and music CD's which in total number around 500 to 600 are all stored in 6 Sleeve books (6 so far)

Oh look, another "how do you keep your blus" thread

oh well

I've finally caved and went with alphabetical instead of by preference for individual movies

Movies, then TV, then performance (music/comedy); alphabetical within each section. It's a carryover from my DVD collection.

Alphabetical.

Plus I have a bonus shelf on the bottom of one of my book cases with Blu Ray that don't fit in the tight spacing on my shelves. I'll have to update my HT gallery soon.

My collection is a bit mixed. First, I separate by genre; sci-fi, action, adventure, fantasy/epics, martial arts, dramas, crime dramas, horror, and comedies. I used to separate cartoons, anime, and TV shows, but I decided to mix them into their respective genres instead. Then I group movies within a genre together based on case size, type, and spine color. I keep documentaries and music videos on a different shelf. I'm pretty happy with this set-up.

Just alphabetically for me. I've tried different systems many times (by studio, director) but every time I do that I come to the conclusion it looks crappy, so I have to put everything back again. Now it just stays on alphabet, looks the best too.

I have always just kept titles that start with numbers in the letter the number starts with (as if i was writing out the number in word form), so 300 is in the T, 40 year old virgin is in the F's I've recently thought about changing that though, as sites like DVDafficianado.com choose to put numbered titles first

Also along with Bonds the only other series i keep in a section different from its individual title is the universal monster movies (DVD for now unfortunetly), all of those go in U. They didn't always (dracula was D, Invisible man was I, etc.) but i like the way they all line up in a row, something about the book style case universal used and the green spines with yellow writing (got rid of the slip cases though)

Blus fiorst on shelf alphabetical with the 007s together under B. Then my Sdvds follow in alphabetical as well.

My Tv shows and concerts at end of SDVDs. Except for LOST Blus which are in the blu section.

I group them by format then genre...otherwise no real order. I used to care about them being in order, but not anymore.
