By year they were made for my blus, and alphabetical for my dvds. It's just because I have fewer blu-rays than I do dvds. I also have all my Criterion Collection movies (blu and dvd) together away from everything else.

I might have to put them in chronological order like that, but for now my 10 BDs are on their own shelf in alphabetical order.

On DVD profiler can you print off a list of all of your movies so if you to a store you can check what you have?

I am also making a binder with all the movies in it. So when friends or family come over they can look through the binder rather than take them to the room with all the movies in it!

i group them by cover color with sequels grouped with the originals
digibooks on one side, steelbooks on the other side (grouped by day of release for my Disneys) and collector editions on it's own shelf

I do all of the above. All my discs are kept organized and out of harms way in this:

I can sort alphabetically, genre, director, cast, date...whatever suits my mood .

I.e. = 28 Days of Night, 3:10 to Yuma, 30 Days of Night, 300, 50 First Dates

I'm crazy, I know.

how many threads a month are made of "organizing blus"

use the search function, review a old thread, no need to keep making new ones

Regarding Wolverine, I have it after the X-Men box set. My real dilema will be with The Hobbit

I just recently put Quantom of Solace after Casino Royale but I group Live Free or Die Hard with the othe DH and TDK with the other Batman films.

I also do numbers before letters but my brother goes by hoe the number is spelled ie 13th Warrior goes under 'T'.

I do numbers then A thru Z. I have Wolverine after Xmen, and Sarah Conner after the 4 films. I think the only exception I have is Live Free or Die Hard after Die Hard 3 and Incredible Hulk after Hulk and Hulk vs.

#1. Concerts: numerical then alphabetical.
#2. 007: chronological by theatrical release date.
#3. Features + Documentaries: numerical then alphabetical.
#4. TV seasons: numerical then alphabetical.

Any and all sequels fall into place directly following the first installment of the series. IE: Batman Begins is filed under 'B'. The Dark Knight sits next to it, also under 'B'.

All my collections are organised by numeral then alphabetical and are broken up in the following ways:

Blu-ray TV: numeral then alphabetical
Blu-ray film: numeral then alphabetical with franchises in theatrical order. 007 films stored under B for Bond
DVD TV: numeral then alphabetical - my Star Trek collection is grouped based on the chronology of the show (ENT, TAS, TNG, DS9, VOY)
DVD film: numeral then alphabetical with franchises in theatrical order

One of my galleries has examples of my ordering, however the Blu-rays were recently re-organised to the above due to an increase in my collection.
