Very soon all my 4k discs will go in one of those caselogic 320 piece wallets.
1.I keep the cardboard box sets on the top shelf far away from my 2 year old son.
2. All the booklet containing jewlcases : Criterion,Masters Of Cinema, Arrow,BFI,StudioCanal on the shelves below.
3.Everything else goes in my pair of 400 piece disc wallet-folders i already have .
4. I keep stacked in 2 shoeboxes all the covers and all the sleeves of all blurays that go in the big disc wallets.I also have a bigger box for the empty steelcases. Most of the jewelcasees go in the bin, i keep some in the attic.

Call me a snob but i don't like any of my rooms looking like a rental store. I try to keep it as minimalistic and smart looking as possible while growing my collection.

I just can't bring myself to put my Blu-ray's and 4K's into a wallet.. would save a ton of space. Mentally, I view Blu-rays and 4K's as discs meant to be stored carefully. DVD's on the other hand...

I have my 4K movies in their own section away from my regular Blu-Rays. Only exception is that my 2 4K seasons of Westworld are put together with my other TV Blu-Rays.

I have now stored all of my Blu-ray discs which are not in SteelBooks, in to a 500 sleeve aluminium disc case. This freed up space on my bookshelves for my growing 4K collection.

The bookshelves now only have Blu-ray and 4K UHD SteelBooks, Blu-ray DigiBooks and 4K cases on show.

Well since my new set up, i have to change where i store my blus and dvds. I now have a 40 inch space of wall to work with for dvd/blu shelving. Found a few on amazon for $50-80 that will hold 5-600 blus & less dvds. Them im also looking at a 4 sided wood spinner that hold in the 6-700 blus. I have 2 bookcases in my garge my uncle built me way back to hold about 500 VHS tapes each. So im probably gonna empty one of those to hold most or all of my DVDS and Blus. My new flat cabinet that my 55' flat now sits on has a 6 shelf underneath that i sort for my 4kblus, Criterions, and Disney dvd/blu's

I separate my 4k's from my blu's and both are alphabetized. I only have 2 DVD's which sit off to the side like abandoned stepchildren.

I have them mixed (4k and BD) together as if they're both the same format and just kinda look at that as my movie collection period, especially since the difference between the two is just not that significant anyway, not to mention I don't expect every BD tite I have to get an UHD release or dare I say it, it might but maybe wouldn't be a worthy upgrade, etc. Hell, there are still some favs of mine that never saw the light of day on Blu Ray. But like mentioned, it is nice seeing the black cases grow while the blue fades lol. So yeah, one nice mixed huge movie collection arranged by genre (but no DVD - those are all tossed in a separate cabinet because they're now only odd things anyway like concerts, three stooges, tv series, etc, etc, things that may never surface on disc again...sadly ).

Blurays separated from 4K UHD. But I have very few. I really started to collect original movies with the 4K format. And they are all together but separated by studios and sequels or cronological order.

All over the place.

TV shows by genre (most in our book cases in the study room). My favorite shows are in the showcase in the living room. Aswell as the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit trilogies. Rest of the showcase is filled with WETA Lord of the Rings/Hobbit statues.

Marvel Universe has its own shelf in a study show case (two piles - one with 4k UK versions and one with steelbooks - both in chronological order). Same goes for Star Wars (steelbooks - chronological) and Harry Potter (complete 4k set)/Fantastic Beasts normal 4k/steelbook versions. And some Harry Potter statues. Game of Thrones also has its own shelf in the same showcase.

We try to have all of our other main movie franchises (Pirates, Bourne, Hunger Games, Dark Knight, etc) on the same shelf aswell (not in the same showcase as the showcase with Marvel/SW/HP/GoT) in another book case in the study. We use that same book case for individual 4k releases. By studio/spine. All WB 4k's next to one another for example.

Also in that same bookcase: Disney originals blu-ray (Lion King, etc) on one pile. Another pile for big movie franchises for animations (Shrek/Ice Age, etc). Another for ''normal'' blu-ray animation movies (not made by Disney/Pixar). Another one for Pixar blu-ray steelbooks. Then a pile for 4k animation movies (in random order, just how the spines look the best) and one with 3d animation movies, also in random order.

Normal blu-ray movies (also by spine/what looks best) share a shelf with documentations.

Mine get touched one time for the bit-perfect ripping process then placed in big tubs, never to be seen again. I organize them inside Kodi alphabetically, er, KODI does that for me. I then can click a button and have any single one of my movies play without delay. I’ve got elaborate covers and metadata set up that displays my entire collection in a beautiful way on my 75”. It’s glorious. The absolute best way to browse and view media IMO.

4K and regular Blu-ray are all together. There’s no sense in separating them since 4K is the same size as Blu-ray (as opposed to DVDs which are much taller).

In my old house, I had DVDs kept in a box while by Blu-Ray and 4K discs were combined in alphabetical order on my shelves. When I get to setting up my new house, I'll probably do the same thing because I'm not the only one in the household who watches them. I may change it up though.

some cover art work are just atrocious and are best better served in being placed in another edition of the movie. hell even the original pressing of DVDs have more respectful artwork that i've placed my 4K discs in.
i dont have 3D copy and 4K copy in their own cases on shelf. what a waste of space. MERGE DAT SHIT

4k boxes are the same size as regular blu, so I have them together and none’s the wiser. DVD boxes have always been ugly and I have reserved them to their own space (usually hidden).
