My collection was starting to get out of conrtol and started looking like Blockbuster so I decided to go with binders from HandStands that look like books. Each book holds 56 discs with 14 pages in them. Now it looks so much cleaner and I can find any movie or TV show that I want through DVD Profiler.

alphabetical with sequels together, Criterions and digibooks together in alphabetical (not mixed), Bonds together in order, trilogies and box sets together in alphabetica, then last but not least: TV shows together in the order of favorites with LOST at the beginning.

First its my steelbook collection, second its my Blu-ray book collection, third its concert blu-rays, fourth TV blus, then finally movies. All organized from #, then A-Z. You know, this a strange, yet interesting thread to read about other members ways of organization.
![]() I got some ideas out of this and might rearrange my blus yet again. |

Completely alphabetical.
I break up a series too if it doesn't use the same name... ie: Bond... I have Goldfinger in the G and Licence to Kill in the L... I do the same with my DVD... it's the only way I can find anything. |

I have a seperate binder for Criterion, seperate binders for single movies without sequals, seperate binders for movies with sequals, a seperate binder for Pixar and Disney animated movies, seperate binders for TV shows. I have a total of 14 binders that take up a 30.8 inches of shelf space and hold 784 discs with more binders on their way.

I have them set up A-Z, with only a couple of exceptions.
Numbers go first, and all of the Bond films are alphabetical, but filed under "Bond". I put the F13 remake before the original 3. I put Van Wilder under V, instead of "National Lampoon's", because I know it better as Van Wilder. |

How do I keep my Blu-rays organized. Primarily Alphanumeric but in terms of how they are organized, well for me, it's not easy if you're the person who has a wife or significant other who doesn't care for your living room looking like a Blockbuster.
For Blu-rays, I will be over 300 in a few weeks and DVD's, I have about 4,000 domestic and probably 2,000 import and thousands of CD's and videogames. In a bid to have things organized and take less space, I have went towards purchasing binders. What I dislike with binders is as much as you try to keep things alphanumeric, when you buy new things, then you're going to have to juggle discs around and purchase new binders. An associate of mine who is in charge of keeping their digital music shop organized showed me how they also had to go binders because of their growing collection and have binders listed as A1, A2, A3 and so forth. My binders are so out of whack right now...too many binders that are A-B, A-E, A-G...The good news is that at least they are organized alphanumeric but the bad news is that how many binders will I need to go through. So, I'm trying to develop a personal database to make retrieval much easier. My Blu-rays are on a storage shelf but I will soon outgrow that and actually took my time to look through the community photos on here and see how those with large libraries have been able to keep organized. So, I'm actually looking at making my office closet a housing for my Blu-rays. Right now, it is filled with thousands of comic books from five decades in their boxes which I have not looked at in decades so I'm going to try and throw them all on eBay or something, not sure yet). The other option is having a wall storage built. But it depends if I can pull it off and wife being understanding. It's bad enough that I have bookshelves in my living room that are overflowing as well. |

I store them away in boxes in a closet. I keep them just in case I want to sell some of them in the future. I still like to have the cases, but not look at them all the time. I do not plan to get rid of my cases. My solution now is much cleaner than before. Now I don't have to worry about the cases lining up on the shelf anymore or running out of shelf space.
