I keep my TV and my movie BDs separate. After that, they're sorted alphabetically.

I Place Movies that are Sequels or Part of a Series Together.
Then I place all of My Blu Rays in Alphabetical Order.

(Though as with the 2 latest Batman Movies I have "Batman Begins" and the "The Dark Knight" Right Beside it).
But the 2 Movies would be placed near the start of my collection sense the first movie of the set or series is "Batman Begins"

First by Genre (Action, Comedy, Family, SciFi/Fantasy, Musical, TV Series)

Then alphabetically within each genre; but, I keep series together such as James Bond, Harry Potter, Batman, Kubrick films, etc.

Strange sized boxsets, etc go on the top shelf, as do less family-friendly fare.

Organizing by genre first is helpful because frequently I'm in the mood for a certain type of movie.

I have them mixed in with my DVDs. By number first and then alphabetically.

I plan on buying a few more after I get back, so I may need to separate them and give them their own shelf.

A-Z, unless a sequel isn't titled in such a way that it can be arranged in proper A-Z order. Example - Batman Begins and The Dark Knight - I keep them together.

I keep my TV shows (Dexter, Lost, etc.) separate from my movies. Those, too, are in A-Z order. Same goes for special events (UFC) - separate, A-Z.

A mixture of order and no order. I keep multiple films by the same director together, as well as film sequels, other than that, free reign.

I like to keep mine organized by genre (animation, 'comic book' movies, drama, horror, etc.) with TV collections at the end.

What is this thing you call organization?

Strictly alphabetical, mixed in with my DVDs. When sorting out movies that have numbers in the title, like 300, I spell out the numbers ("Three Hundred")

Right now they're in alphabetical order, with some exceptions. Concerts and documentaries are kept separate. The Matrix is on the far right because it's a digibook and sticks out. The Wizard of Oz is on the far left, because it's awesome.

Eventually when I have a lot of BDs, I'll organize them the way my DVDs are (separated into a few groups: war, western, everything else... and then chronologically from theatrical release within those groupings).

I have mine in two sections -- both in alphabetical order. The first section includes the blu-rays I have watched and the second section is those I have not. It doesn't matter whether I have seen the movie before, it matters whether I have put in that blu-ray and watched it.

#-Z Alphabetically but the SDDVDs are separate from BDs and TV series, documentaries, concerts and animated series are kept separate. They each have their own section. Just like in a store display.

By series first, by director second, by studio third.

Example: I've got all my Rob Reiner movies together (Spinal Tap, Princess Bride, Misery)

I've got all the James Bond movies on Blu together.

And I've got all my Warner Bros. movies next to each other, so all those little WB shield logos at the bottom line up. Within that section, I've got the Batman series together, and the Superman series together.

Though after reading up on the organization issues, i might go for alphabetic organization (with exceptions for james bond and Batman titles.)

I know, a bit anal, but it works for us!
