Default Organizing your blus

So as my collection starts to grow and I look at people's collections on here via pics, I must ask, how do you organize your blus? I am a very neat and orderly person by nature so I keep mine in an alphabetical order - for the most part. There are some areas where I break that rules. Some examples:

Batman Begins followed by The Dark Knight (why? because it's a sequel, duh)

Firefly: The Complete Series followed by Serenity (why? because it's a movie that follows the show)

Some other oddities: The Ultimate Matrix Collection will go under "M" because of Matrix, not "U" because of the 'ultimate'.

I also put TV shows on blu mixed in with my films, not at the end. So I have LOST between movie L's and M's (even though I technically don't own any 'M's' yet, haha).

So, how do you organize your blus? And do you care to keep them in order? Or do you not care at all and do you find that problematic?

And a question to serious Terminator fans. I'm planning on putting "Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles" seasons after Salvation (note: I do not own any of the Terminator films on blu yet, but when I do buy them this is I plan on placing them) but I know the show takes place after T2, but I don't care. So what would you do? The order they were released, or the "technical" chronological order? (I know this poses a problem for Salvation as well, but one issue at a time, haha).

Also, would you put X-Men Origins: Wolverine after the X-Men trilogy, or before it?

I know some people don't give two sh!ts about how they put their items, but I do. I like knowing exactly where something is, and this is how I can easily keep track.

NOTE: Numbers first in order of the number (28 days Later, 28 Weeks Later followed by 2001) and then alphabetical.

Strict alphabetical order. With some quirks.

Harry Potters, Bournes and Pirates in chronological order. Dark Knight under D, Quantum of Solace under Q. TV shows with non-standard cases (i.e, Clone Wars, Band of Brothers) at the end of all the movies, in their separate alphabet. Numerical based on 1st integer.

I.e. = 28 Days of Night, 3:10 to Yuma, 30 Days of Night, 300, 50 First Dates

I'm crazy, I know.

I do by genre. Like horror/action-adventure/drama/animated...and within those, I do alphabetical.

Aside from grouping together sequels (Batman Begins followed by The Dark Knight) it's all random order after that.

When I first started it was random, but now I have them in a strange order, everything Pixar/Animation together, what I consider classic movies together, box sets together, and them I just have some put randomly. Since my mom is getting me a new blu/dvd organizer for Christmas, Ill just re organize when I have the new furniture.

Strict 123ABC

Size of case, tv show, color of case... It doesn't matter.

So, let's say you owned 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later and then a movie came out that was called "28 Moments to Sunshine" or something... would you put that between the two other films even though they go together?

Just being a stickler by the way

on my shelf 2001 would come before 28 as 0 comes before 8 (the second letter in each title)... so yes EVERYTHING must be in ABC order.. lwys has been that way for DVD, CD, books + now BDS... I usually get between 1-5 BDs a DAY this past month and nightly a moving them down the racks to make more space!

i have them divided like this:

Movies
TV
Music/Concerts
Wrestling

everything in each section is in alphabetical order except for sequels which go right after the original no matter the name (example: Batman Begins is follower by The Dark Knight)

I keep them on their own shelf in alphabetical order. I feel I only want them to have their own shelve.

Strict alphabetical. For music - it's by title if it has a unique one (Beside you in time - B's - NIN / Remember that night -R's - David Gilmour) or by musician if that's the title (Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds at Radio City -D's- )

PS - Ultimate Matrix is M for Matrix. Reloaded and Revolutions conveniently follow in alphabetical order.

The only specific exception is the Harry Potter series. Done in Order of school year. Numbers are in alphabetical order (300 before The Third Man before Transformers before 2001

I have over 250 Blu-rays so I had to create a system to find them quicker. I divide them into catagories and then into alphabetical order on a 8 shelf high DVD shelf that should hold about 500 Blu-rays. The catagories are:

Anime
Criterion
Imports
Boxsets & TV Series
Regular USA

The Only exception is Serenity with Firefly

I currently have my movies in the order I got them in just because my more recent one are the ones where I still and watching special features and what not on and my collection is pretty small but in a year or so when my collection grows I'll definitely put them in alphabetical order.

Alphabetical for me, so:
The Dark Knight is after Chronicles of Narnia, not Batman Begins. I put Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles after T2 because its all about the story. This goes with any prequel; its all chronological. This way, I'm never confused, becuase when I look at my collection and search for a film, I think keywords, like "Matrix," not "Ultimate."
