One 5-shelf bookcase for steelbooks, and one for all the rest. I need a new one, i've only got space for 3 more titles in my non-steelbook bookcase. All my boxsets, digi's and amarays are fudged together as neat as possible, but in no particular order, except i have my 3d blu's together.

I do by genre myself.. so I'll have like all the scifi, all the superhero, drama, etc grouped together. Makes it easy when somebody says "I want to watch a comedy" and then viola, I can just point to that section of DVDs or Blurays. In each section then there just organized by what feels right, which varies. For instance, Disney movies are chronological. Superhero movies are split DC/Marvel/other.
All in all there's 3 main splits dvd, bluray, 3d bluray. Last edited by mysticwaterfall; 04-03-2014 at 02:18 AM. |

Eventually I'll just cave and put them alphabetical like my record collection. Took me a while to actually do that (400+ records and one day couldn't find one record I wanted to listen to
![]() For now I have a wacky system where I group some of them together by director, some by genre, and some by which have a slipcover or not. Criterion and steelbooks are of course in a separated section as well. |

Alphabetically. But sequels follow the first in the trilogy or series. The exception has been Romero's Dead movies, and Fox's Apes. Just got the Japanese import of Night, and I am going to put them together. Rise of the apes....just doesn't feel like a true sequel to the original series. I guess because it was such a good movie I feel it stands well on it's own. Kinda how I felt about each Dead movie from Romero.
