I've already have the Blu-ray of that flick, from France. Not the prettiest picture.
One of these days ...to the moon.

* I also like the motion picture soundtrack; I've bought the CD ages ago and I spin it occasionally when a disturbance occurs.

Here's the exclusive latest number ...
Worldwide: $2,750,760,348 (Avengers: Endgame) ... all fun $$$

Love the soundtrack. Probably has something to do with NIN being my favorite band of all time since about 1992, so I'm in for anything Trent is involved in.

"The 35MMFHDXSMA sensor is designed to capture monochrome imagery in extreme low-light conditions, situations too dark for the human eye to be able to see.

By removing the 35MMFHDXSCA sensor's color array, it's possible to double the sensitivity of the sensor. The 35MMFHDXSMA sensor is designed for astrological observation, natural disaster monitoring, security and object detection, molecular and cell biology, and industrial vision."

Not since my initial disappointment with their behavior – https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...s#post16532371

Nevertheless, since I’m the forgiving type, in the hope that they’re now showing more class, I’ll likely tune in for the quarter final against France on Friday out of curiosity and as I fully support their fight against gender inequality. At this point the only thing that interests me in terms of the U.S. men’s National team members is how Pulisic (https://www.cbsnews.com/video/the-young-american/ ) will do at his new team - Chelsea, i.e. is he tough enough to endure the Premier League?

I forgot about that prior post and sensitivities regarding sports ... FIFA.
With that I won't expand any further than saying I feel for the Women Canadian Team.

What I like most are the amazing HDR photos they take not only in Soccer but with all other Sports.
...Basketball, Ping Pong, Snooker, Boxing, Badminton, Volleyball, Hockey, Football and Synchronized Dance Swimming.

Like a ballerina ...

Some sports, namely indoor basketball, can be inherently superior in its ability to leverage the value of HDR – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7iHfZ1tIpk#t=15m20s

Penton, and I say this with the greatest respect, I think you're being far too precious over the whole 13-0 celebration thing. Is it not in American DNA that winning's the thing? You guys don't have tiers in major sport, no promotion or relegation, everyone starts out at the same level with the same theoretical chance of the big prize (another difference to elsewhere in the world which keeps league and knockout competitions separate) because winning is everything. Is the USA team's fault that Thailand were so poor? No. They were doing their job and doing it to the best of their ability, and how.

I've said all that because if you want to see what actual disgraceful behaviour on the women's football pitch looks like then the Cameroon England game was one of the most astonishing spectacles I've ever seen in football, having been a fan of the game for as long as I've been alive (almost four score years). Incredibly cynical fouling from first minute to last, spitting, tantrums on and off the pitch at the VAR decisions (late on, the ref declined to give a stonewall penalty and then send off the person who scythed down Steph Houghton because she knew the Cameroonians would go ballistic!!). You wanna get mad then watch that game and get back to me, it makes complaints about celebrating a 13th goal like a last-minute winner seem utterly trivial in comparison.

I don’t want to get mad. I just got over the Thailand match.
(I still don't think it was right).

Excellent find Salty! Not too sure there's a whole lot there that hasn't been enumerated by members of this forum, but it's interesting to see that 'pros and cons' table laid out like that. And the document reiterates that encoding DV for disc needs more work both before and after encoding, NOT that it's mission impossible, it just takes more time and more time means more money. It also means that they can't turn the discs around in the same time as what HDR10 'standalones' can be.

The P's & C's highlights just why Warners and Sony have rarely used FEL because they usually master their base encodes to 4000 nits and Dolby don't actually recommend using FEL with such base layers. One of the few Warners ones that uses FEL is 2001:ASO...which has a base layer of 1000 nits, not 4000. Interesting that the Matrices were also mastered with 1k nit base layers but didn't have an FEL.

Note that when it comes to DV content at 50/60p for disc then MEL is recommended, presumably because it'd be too much data to process efficiently. Seeing as Paramount have Ang Lee's Gemini Man and that it's bound to get a 4K60 UHD release with DV (becuz Par love dat DV) then it *should* carry an MEL version.
