These also appeared to be OOP around summer of 2019 (that's when I was having a hard time tracking down DP). So I find a copy and pay $15 or so for it, within weeks they are all over Amazon and the internet for $10 or less again. It surprised me that they weren't really OOP then (due to the Weinstein connection). It would surprise me if they are OOP now. $50 says they are out of stock and will return shortly.

The Grindhouse theatrical experience with the fake trailers and superior cut of Planet Terror is the way to go.

For Death Proof I have to give the award to the extended edition for the lap dance scene.

I have the grindhouse single disc double feature and the Death Proof extended cut as part of the QT collection. Do I really need the Planet Terror extended cut single release? While it is still affordable?

^ I believe the rights for these shifted to Paramount, who may or may not re-release them down the line.

Probably depends on how much you like it as an individual movie. I have both the extended versions and the combined theatrical versions, but some people prefer the combined theatrical version.

No, the additions to Planet Terror are unnecessary and slow the pacing.

Paramount has Miramax titles, not Dimension/TWC.

I've only seen the extended cut and that was on DVD in 2009.

Haven't seen the movie since, but I preferred Death Proof at the time.

Death Proof 7/10
PT: 6.5/10 or so.

So for Mystery Men USA BD I was online and checked Amazon and they had a used copy through Amazon Warehouse for only $8. I snagged it immediately. Luck and timing I guess. Glad I was able to snag one at that price as I shouldn't have held off that long.

I didn’t see them listed.
I am good with these movies have the regular BD and the BD steelbook.

I actually stumbled on a copy at Dollar Tree a few months ago and it was only $1. The double feature BD. Snagged it and I already had the BD steelbook.

Not surprised it went OOP stuff that shows up at Dollar Tree usually signals going OOP.

It may stay OOP for a few months or years but it will be back in print again.

As someone mentioned earlier, the single releases seam to be oop, not the double feature.

All the pre-2005 Dimension films stayed with Miramax when the Weinsteins left to form their own company, taking the Dimension name with them.

If that were the case then why hasn’t Four Rooms yet to see a Blu-ray release? I know he only directed a quarter of the movie but it’s still a must own for any Tarantino fan.

That was one of the most tortuous experiences I have ever had in a movie theater...

While this is true (not jettisoning the lap dance would have been the best of both worlds), the decision to go with lossy audio for that disc while the individual releases feature lossless is still one of the most baffling things I've ever seen.

Perhaps that was a ploy to get people to buy all 3? Just utterly moronic.

DNSK didn't say it was OOP; he was asking why it never even gotten a release since QT directed part of it and someone else said anything he directed would eventually be rereleased. It's because Four Rooms is 3/4 not a Tarantino film, it has an awful rep and a lot of Tarantino's fans have never even heard of it.

One of the main reasons Death Proof got its own release was because Grindhouse did poorly in theaters.
