It's probably because it's going to be replaced by a 4K version. Can't wait!

I'll wait for the 4K 3D 120fps version.

Any chance Apocalypto will come back to print? I don't know how these things work, found a used copy for $33 on Amazon, but not sure I want to pay that.

If you can play region B it's about $10 out of the UK.

Unfortunately I can't. Have you seen the movie btw, and does $33 seem too much? I understand it's subjective, but have you pay a ridiculous price for a movie you're not even sure you'll like?

It's an excellent film. I have had the disc since 2010.

Well, I bought mine on 1/17/2009 for $21.99 (before I've heard of deals! ). Excellent film and great PQ, btw. Tough to blind buy at $33 though, not knowing how you'll like it. Good luck and let us know what you end up deciding.

Apocalypto is a great film IMO. I like a variety. It's got action, thrills, and a good story. The language/subtitles may be off putting (don't know your taste). Visually, it's great, I love the jungles and architecture presented. Audio was nice too, I don't have a setup so I won't judge it and I have hearing damage. I watch it once a year in its entirety and bits of it's on the tv.
$$ wise, I lucked out and found a few copies for people at used shops for 10$ or less. Would I pay 33$? Unfortunately no, I don't think so, I'd be on the lookout for a deal, maybe used, or a store with poor volume sales(picked up 6 OOP titles at office stores recently), or eBay lot deals.

That's just my opinion, but another factor is, what are you into film wise?

^^ Yeah I'll hit the pawn shops after the first, and put a comment in the trade thread. Subs don't bother me too much, there's just something about the trailer that really interests me. Thanks y'all.

I probably "overpaid" at $27 (after shipping), but it's A Trip to the Moon, man.

Really happy to have the movie! When I first saw A Trip to the Moon, I was completely blown away that something like this could have been made in 1902. Méliès was a master.

Weird. I ordered that, along with a copy of Chaplin's Mutual Comedies, and it came in a relatively large (for two BDs) box, full of bubble-wrap, and with the giant "fragile" sticker on the front. I was impressed.

Mine also had "Fragile" stamped on it, but that's useless when it's a manila envelope and the mailman ignores the warning. I expect better packaging at these prices. Luckily, there were no issues, but still...

I'm guessing you got the box treatment because you ordered multiple items.

Not sure about this but I was trying to find a standalone U.S. domestic Blu of Blade Runner, not the five disc classic set. My son had never seen it and I wanted to get it for him so he could watch it before the sequel comes out. It's not on either the Best Buy, Fry's or Target websites. I live in L.A. and could not find it in the stores either. Also, Amazon has the original 5 disc set, which I bought when it was originally released. Amazon is showing what looks like a version that has French titling on the cover to be back in stock in January. Even Second Spin.com, where you can usually find anything, does not have a single disc version of the film; all out of stock. I took a shot and went to a store near me called CD Trader on Saturday. I was prepared to buy the five disc set for him if I struck out. They specialize in hard to find stuff and how lucky can you get; they had ONE copy on their shelf so I grabbed it. If it isn't out of print, fine. If it is, this may be deliberate to raise demand? I am guessing a new round of discs will hit the market, maybe late next summer in advance of the October release of Blade Runner 2049.

I'd guess the same discs will coming back then, either with movie-cash for the sequel or stickers promoting it. I saw the digibook version at Best Buy not long ago, but it was pre-black friday, making me think no versions of this are OOP.

This appears to be OOP. It is no longer being sold at Bestbuy even though I bought it from there a couple of months back. It is no longer on ebay, and it can only be bought from a 3rd party on Amazon.

It appears that both The November Man (2014) with Pierce Brosnan and Perfect Stranger (2007) with Halle Berry and Bruce Willis are out of print on Blu Ray. I've seen the DVDs on the shelves at Walmart but amazon.com is listing both as on sale from third party sellers only and has for a while.

Perfect Stranger is showing readily available. Anyone know if The November Man is OOP?

It's like 25 bucks at Best Buy.

The 2 disc UK release seems to also be out of stock on Amazon UK so this may be true.

EDIT:
There looks to be 1 left in stock, though at a slightly higher price (increased from £8 to £15)
