I tracked down From Dusk Till Dawn and Equilibrium on Amazon, but the rest I had to order through numerous small retailers. The problem with this is that their websites aren't always up to date, so hopefully none of these orders get canceled.

Normally after these distribution deals close it's a few months or more before the old stock starts disappearing. I assumed I would've had more time than a couple of weeks.
Honestly a lot of the Lionsgate/Miramax titles have been drying up for quite awhile. I think the writing has been on the wall re: not renewing the deal, and Lionsgate has been unwilling or unable to reprint them for quite a while. I remember warnings for Cold Mountain, Shakespeare In Love, etc. drying up many months ago.

edit: Just did a Google search and found that Lionsgate exited the bidding process back in September 2019, so they've known for awhile, and might have been skittish about it even earlier.

Happy to have it on BD, none on Amazon now. Pretty sure "The Irishman" stirred up renewed interest in this film. It looks like it's available overseas on BD.

I'm really bummed about Hoffa going OOP. I've never seen it but wanted to order it the other day and that's when I found out it was OOP. No used copies or anything.

Hey man (Apologies if you aren't!)... at least you knew it was there!

I didn't even know it was released until recently! And I missed out on War of the Roses, too! I sure would love one more chance to own some Danny DeVito goodness with all the special features these two discs have! But I learned my lesson numerous times... you snooze, you lose! And I'm not paying the prices whatever remaining sellers are charging!

Now I'm doing a mad scramble for any cheaper FOX discs I still want...even if they get re-issued, I'm a purist about wanting the 20TH CENTURY FOX logo on these!

Yeah it's crazy now with all of these Fox titles going OOP now! I've never been a big blind buyer so I guess it's my bad for waiting so long to watch Hoffa. One of the risks of being a blu ray collector is having them go OOP eventually. Luckily I already have The War of the Roses blu ray. That one would kill me if I missed out on that! I know what you mean about having the logo on there.

FYI, I just saw a used copy of The War of the Roses on Amazon for $19.75 if that's within your price range. I personally would jump on that!

The Fox titles have been slowly vanishing over the last year, but it has sped up a LOT in the last month.

That said, stock of everything is being depleted, and Amazon has redesigned their algorithms to place streaming versions at the top and to bury physical media way down in the lists of search results.

This is a very unusual time. We shall see what happens when it's over, but I suspect many of these titles are gone forever now. The day of physical media is passing.
So when given the choice between a global pandemic that has disrupted supply chains and shut down many different shipping options for businesses vs. a bunch of titles just happening to sell out at the same time, you think it's the latter--even though, by your own admission, Amazon (who is the biggest player in the game) is making it harder to find physical media on its own website.

Come on. It's clearly the former.

Thanks. Yeah, I was watching that, but I'm finnicky about buying Used as I've been burned once or twice. And anyway...it appears we have a lurker...because that copy just disappeared!

I think it's both. I'm just saying I don't think it's solely due to the current conditions, and I certainly don't think the current conditions are keeping everyone from buying BDs, I think they're actually causing many people to buy them, causing stock to run out on discs that, in some cases, will never have more copies pressed.

I certainly don't think it's all down to any single cause though, that was intended to be my point.

We won't know for sure until things return to normal, and we see if any of these titles get replenished.

Forgive my incompetence, but - does the Disney deal include MGM titles? So will they go OOP as well?

Some MGM Blu-rays have been disappearing in the UK (New York, New York, Capote, Get Shorty), but as the Fox distribution deal lapses this year I expect they’ll find another distributor, such as Universal. But of course you never know what titles they will deem to bring out on Blu-ray again.

I have no doubts that "big" Fox titles will continue to come out on disc. Certainly, Disney will keep the Fox Star Wars titles in print, and some of the other franchises, like Alien/Predator and, of course, Avatar. And likely perennial favorites like The Sound of Music or Miracle on 34th Street.

But I suspect a lot of the catalog titles are going to simply disappear, -- especially the ones that Fox couldn't be bothered to release themselves and licensed them out to boutique labels like Twilight Time, Kino Lorber, Eureka, Indicator, et alia -- as the licenses with those labels start expiring. Though, down deep, I wouldn't be surprised if Criterion -- which has always been on good terms with Disney, even if they didn't release all that many Disney-owned titles -- still managed to bring out the occasional Fox catalog title. Of course, knowing Criterion, they probably have several licensed Fox titles in hand that they just haven't gotten around to releasing yet.

But, I think for the bulk of the Fox catalog, the best we might hope for (and it's a slim hope, I think) is if the Disney Movie Club decides to release "exclusives" of Fox catalog titles, or spins off a Fox Movie Club imprint.

Keep checking eBay, Alibris, etc. There are also import's out there except Region B. If you want it that bad you will get one.

Is Horrible Bosses 2 OOP? It hasn't been on Amazon, B&N, Best Buy, or Deep Discount for awhile. I snagged one brand new off eBay the other day for 8 bucks just in case after getting the first for 4 at a local grocery store. The first one seems to be easy to find on the other hand.

I've had the DVD for awhile and thought about upgrading it with the Deep Discount 2-for1 Olive deal going on right now, no dice.
