Some of these are still in-stock at some retailers - but they are for all intents and purpose OOP, so once stock dries up they're gone....

If you're looking for any of these, Bull Moose still has a few left. I picked up Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vols. I & II...
Thanks for the tip! Was really surprised by the turn around time on shipping too.

I would guess Max Paine and Training Day aren't OOP. The prices are too cheap for that, and no known studio turmoil. Probably just a delay in getting more stock to big A.

Those Hills Have Eyes redos just might be early in the OOP phase. The first is still cheap, but the second is hard to find. Plus they are Fox titles who just got bought out by Disney, and these don't much fit the Disney brand. Those are probably going away. The "unrated collection" BD set is still around cheap on ebay and amazon right now. That will probably follow the single discs into the void soon.

Is Scream’s “The Funhouse” going OOP?

Seems like it.

Just bought one of the last few copies on ebay.

Is there a possibility that all of these movies going oop could be a temporary thing because studios are having trouble making money & releasing movies to theaters because of covid19? If that were the case, the losses would trickle all the way down to not wanting to spend money to make new batches of blu-ray titles until they start getting revenue again from new releases. I could be all wrong, but it was just an idea.

I would argue this is the case for most of the blurays currently out of stock, excluding the 20th Century Fox and Lionsgate/Miramax titles. I would get those now while you can.

It’s still available at shoutfactory and it’s not in there list of titles going oop, so I think that one is safe for now.

This, although there are always random titles from any given studio that quietly go OOP at any given time, but most of the "I think this is OOP" or "is this OOP" are just Corona delays. Remember, even before the plague hit, duplication was becoming an issue as a couple of the bigger plants were closed or burned. Now it's that delay issue mixed with the other thing, combined making it 100X worse.

If questioning a Fox or Miramax title, good chance those are going OOP as those studios have sold huge if not complete chunks to others. I always say, if you have any interest in a title, best to just grab it and not be sorry. I've been burned a few times waiting for a price drop only to have something disappear completely, now I'm smarter.

Eh. It might comeback, but given how long shout has had it, I can see it being on the chopping block before long. Glad I picked it up and got it out of the way.

I can find only a few of the first The Hills Have Eyes remake single disc on ebay but I just bought one from a seller on Amazon used.

This is Truly a scary time for physical media and company's mainly Disney are definitely not helping any.

Companies are announcing new releases all the time, and Arrow just announced their first 4K title. Physical media may not be selling the way it once was, but rumors of its demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Indeed, if anything it's as exciting of a time as any as in our current state we have a number of quality distributors going deep into the wells to provide the best possible presentations of really obscure films, complete with extras. It's always unfortunate when a title goes out of print, but when it's due to a licensing agreement expiring it opens the door for another quality distributor to potentially release an even better version... something most major studios have no interest in doing.

MountainMan23 didn't repeat any rumors of physical media's demise. He said it's a scary time for physical media and he's not wrong. A huge swath of Fox and Lionsgate BDs are probably OOP. Twilight Time's closing up shop (Nick Redman said they'd go out of business in 2020 five years ago, and though his death probably accelerated things by six months to a year, his original statement turned out to be right on target). Kino's putting a large number of titles OOP and have implied they'll be scaling back the Studio Classics line. Olive appears to be more or less moribund. Scream/Shout Factory has put a fair number of titles OOP in the last year and, though some of them may have been because the licenses ran out, I don't see why MGM wouldn't allow Scream/Shout to renew most of the licenses for the films they own if Scream/Shout wanted them. It's not just a bad time for studio Blu-rays, but U.S. boutique labels too.

Nice that Arrow's bringing out two UHDs, but Kino released one UHD a year ago, canceled plans to bring out The Good The Bad & the Ugly in November and have not as of yet announced a second UHD title (if I'm getting this wrong, please lemme know, gently). I know they said they'd release three in 2020; we'll see what happens.

Not surprised by Kino Lorber scaling back some catalogue, they put out some stuff most people wouldn't even pay $1 for at Dollar Tree that is the reality even if I would pay $20 for it. I like that they put out tons of stuff all the time though.

Yup and again, that's great, but the point was posting OOP titles. There are always import alternatives that you can find by going to the movies direct listing in the database (except for the rarity it was either only released in one country orrrr the Martyrs situation where both the blu-ray and Canadian are completely OOP).

Also, it's not just a USA OOP thread, there are OOP UK and Canadian titles as well as French and the like in the original post. My point was that doesn't change the fact that particular version is completely OOP. Some people are particular about not having Canadian versions because of the French writing or maybe not being able to redeem digital codes where you really want to, if at all. That's why I said what I said. Certainly nowhere in my original response did I dictate how anyone should spend their money.

Glad I ordered this last month then. Had an Amazon gift card that covered almost half and I really love Mothra, Ghidorah, and Godzilla. Need to prioritize getting the rest soon enough though

I went through the list of Miramax titles on Wikipedia and came up with about 10 titles I'm missing. A few never got US releases, and the others are still mostly in stock / available cheap. I did jump on The Crow as that seems like prices are on the rise. Amazon still has a few used for cheap.
