Part of me is selfishly hoping that none of the titles I've picked up come back into print, so my binge-buying will just appreciate in value...

I looked on Amazon.fr and didn't see anything, but the Amazon search engines are atrocious. |

As long as it's still available (and not greyed out, saying "OUT OF PRINT"), then it's still available from SHOUT. And it wasn't part of their recent OOP announcement batch, either. I think it's safe...for now. Yeah, I did my "Better to be safe than sorry" bit with FOX titles over the past few months. Given that everything is unusual/unprecedented due to the pandemic, anything is possible (there could be hundreds of copies of WORKING GIRL still sitting in a wharehouse somewhere, getting transferred to Disney facilities). But my gut feeling generally agrees with @James Luckard here in that I think 85% of these FOX titles are dwindling out of existence on disc. |

Older listings said "20th Century Fox" but when the same titles came back with the 07/01 Pre-order release date for 15€ MSRP, they were all listed with the updated "20th Century studios" mention. I still have to grab at least one or go to a store to see if they sport new logos or anything else to differentiate them form the older Fox releases. I'll try to give an update here if I don't forget about it. I should have saved a screen grab because you sound like you don't believe me but I assure you, it surprised me as it really came out of the blue since Disney France is the worst when it comes to communicate about physical media releases. You just have to check Amazon and such from time to time to keep track. Also I didn't check on Amazon Germany but Disney gave an ultimatum to retailers for returning their stock of all the Fox titles. They had until June so it may be interested to check the status of all the Fox titles there, now. Last edited by Torrente; 07-14-2020 at 02:13 AM. |

https://88-films.myshopify.com/colle...-to-buy?page=1 I don't know if any other pages do this, but boutiquebluray greys out Eureka releases that have fallen OOP. Recently, Two for the Road, Cruel Story of Youth, Boomerang!, Satyricon were listed as discontinued on their website, and I've had to order a couple of titles like Too Late Blues and The Gang's All Here after they went OOP, and Hands Over the City has gone too. https://www.boutiquebluray.com/wiki/...u-ray_releases Some Arrow titles no longer appear on their website, including King of New York, Lady Snowblood, Blow Out. In the MVD sale in the US, it seems to put a moratorium on some MGM licenses with some $5 titles like Dillinger, Black Mama White Mama, Ronin, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Terror in a Texas Town. The BFI has their Fox licenses either already OOP or about to go OOP, with titles like Night and the City, Cry of the City, The Innocents, The Leopard, Otto Preminger, Carmen Jones. But there's some other OOP titles over the years too, including a couple of Flipside titles, Chronicle of a Summer, A Bigger Splash, the Jarman sets, the Alan Clarke set, The Jacques Tati releases, 3 disc editions of Deep End, The Killing of a Chinese Bookie. For the Artificial Eye thread, I put together a list of seemingly OOP titles. Quote:

If it was going out of print, then Shout would have it for sale under their Going Out of Print sale section. This is not listed there, so one must assume it is not out of print and Amazon just does not have any any stock. Not uncommon at all.

I don't know 100% if this will be the case but it seems Disney and Fox merged their distribution together in Germany and as a result, many titles have gone oop that were released by Fox(including MGM titles) but it seems quite a few are being rereleased according to JPC.de saying this "voraussichtlicher Liefertermin ist der 7.8.2020." on quite a few oop Fox titles. I'm not too sure if Disney will be rebrading/remastering these or they will just be more pressings handled by the mouse kinda like when Warner Bros and Village Roadshow merged distribution in Australia and just pressed more copies of the Warner bros discs with the same art.

Missed the Jean de Florette/Manon of the Spring Shout release. When was that one announced? I keep up on these and I still missed it. It's amazing considering how many I buy.

Do Arrow ever say ahead of time what titles are going out of print?
