Just won an auction on ebay for a disc I've wanted for a while, but the only reason I won is because I was trying to poach and forgot the decimal point on my bid, so I am paying a little bit more than I meant to.

That's been OOP for a while, although it's quite possible it took this long for stock to run out.

Almost positive the Olive Signature edition of The Quiet Man is OOP. It’s not available anywhere, no Amazon, eBay, etc.

John Wayne’s North To Alaska also appears to be OOP. Going for more than $50 by 3rd party sellers on Amazon and eBay.

I believe all Blu-rays in the Olive Signature Series are limited to a specified # of copies... if so, then it just comes down to a discussion of Out of Stock, because they are all Out of Print technically.

I didn't mess around and snagged a copy of Bound, while it is still cheap.

BTW, the UK Arrow release is the only way to hear the film with its theatrical 5.1 audio track (the Olive is 2.0 stereo only). It's region-locked, but any film fan worth his salt should own a region-free player.

NOW you tell me..... lol. I actually did not know that. But it doesn't matter as I have a poor "sound system" living in an apt.

I might keep it sealed when it comes in... sell it.... then get the arrow just to have the best release. Thanks for letting me know!

Aside from the 2.0 stereo, the Olive disc is supposed to be very good, and contains all of the extras from the Arrow disc plus more, so it's certainly not a serious downgrade, but even the ancient DVD from 1998 had the 5.1 audio, so I don't know why both of Olive's releases forgot to include it.

I don't remember the exact years, but what happened was, Warner Bros had a deal with Paramount, they took over distribution of a whole bunch of discs. K-19 might have had an initial pressing by Paramount (not sure), but it got one from Warner during that period. That deal ended years ago, but it's probably such a low seller that it took this long for stock to deplete, because it never got reprinted. I think it's not listed just because there were so many Paramount/Warner titles; I had it on my wish list for a while (pretty low, just for completing the Bigelow collection's sake), so I had noted it was OOP, but I never got around to it, and at this price, I'll just wait for Paramount to repress it.

It's $9.99 brand new on eBay, if you need it. My favorite Steve Martin movie and my favorite Eddie Murphy movie. It's one of the few comedies which gets funnier as it goes along.

Unbelievable this would go OOP. Glad I have both the USA and and UK import BD's. This is a classic and well worth picking up. Logan Lucky, Bowfinger going OOP now. I am holding on to most of my Universal BD's just to be safe. Bowfinger will likely get rereleased as a MOD title maybe.

I guess hoping for a Bird On A Wire USA BD just got extinguished.
